Does what it says on the tin, and that's it Rated 3 out of 5 stars

You can post a paste, and log in to keep in in your repo, and that's about it. Can't set the paste to unlisted, just public or private, and the syntax highlighting is decent, though pastebin can mess up pasted code sometimes if you don't have a pro account these days. Can't move the icon either, it's stuck up next to the menu icon, and while that's not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things, I'm an everything-in-the-sidebar kinda guy; strikes me as odd too because it's the first extension with an unmovable UI access icon I've come across.

Why I can't use firefox-odds at iPhone 7 plus

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Previous bugs fixed under Firefox 54.0.x and addon fully functional.

needs more effort Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It's unusable in last Firefox versions (>=29).
The window is showed cropped.
As is cannot signin

Good but needs some improvements Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Old bugs seems fixed now. It uploads to pastebin as private, if selected. No "unlisted" options anyway. Should just add some options (I want all pastes as private by default for example) and improve a little the UI (if I accidentally click outside the window while writing it clears all the fields). Anyway, it works.

FIX the PRIVACY flags! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This extension is not honoring the privacy settings! When trying to do a private paste, it is still showing up in PUBLIC posts. You have to change the privacy manually AFTER it posts on pastebin, which is way too late.
The windows gets cut-off so you lose about 10% of what is on screen and the you have to manually log-in after every start-up of Firefox.
If this is the "official" extension of pastebin it doesn't bode well for them.

Private option is actually Unlisted Rated 3 out of 5 stars

So checking the API docs and your chrome files it seems that your dropdown option for Private is actually doing Unlisted. Please update the addon to support current API options.

Public is 0, Unlisted is 1, and Private is 2. In addition maybe hide/disable the option for Private unless the user is logged in.

útil pero incómodo Rated 3 out of 5 stars

@SwedishChef
Pastebin depending on ads? of course they do, this extension is just what it is called
a extension to not need to open the pastebin site and login and paste your code.

So i don't get what your are saying that they wont let you log in automatically, do you
see any ads in the extension?
Either the functions wasnt implemented, or it was broken, and i happen to now that it
is broken.

What you have reviewed with a shitty 1 star is the pastebin site, not this extension
that works as it intend to do.

So with other words:
Great extension, skips the hassle to visit and login to the pastebin site for sharing codes.

Only hassle is the window size of the extension, would like it customizable.

Fix For PasteBin 3 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I Fixed The Window Size:

How:
i extracted the file with 7z then i changed the the skin/skin.css:
On #pastebin-panel
width:630px; -> width:830px;

Those Of You That Want It Litte Smaller
Can look on the file chrome/content/browser.xul on the id's
and work with the skin/skin.css
on chrome/content/browser/pastebin.js you can change the main script
then you can use the cookies to get the user and password for auto login
i will try to fix it to later....

It's all about ads Rated 1 out of 5 stars

You have to remember pastbin's revenue model is to expose you to ads. So of course they won't log you in automatically, etc. Each step you take on their site gives them more opportunity to expose you to their ads, and gain more revenue.

Too bad. I would check out paste.ubuntu.com, which provides a very similar experience to this plugin, but without ads, without a public mode (most people want private anyway), etc. Very simple and sleek.

Unfortunately my needs are different than most. I effectively want a secure cut buffer shared between machines. So I need pastebin with a persistent login, so I can copy/paste text between machines quickly. I don't want the delay and clumsiness involved with e-mailing a URL. I also need encryption, for security. This site doesn't really address these needs, unfortunately. It's too much trouble to keep logging in all the time, and there's no security (other than taking their word for it - which of course isn't security).

Works better than before Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It actually works when it didn't before. I had just had pastebin as a bookmark because it used to be faster than doing it this way but now it seems to work. Now lets see if it keeps me logged in or not.. Version 2.1 wasn't that good but it seems to be better now (or else the changes pastebin have made this work more fluidly together).

Pastebin FF Add-on Rated 3 out of 5 stars

1) Does not remember the login information. Have to sign in every time you use it. Biggest aggravation with add-on.

2) Doesn't remember the Syntax Highlighting selection chosen. Post Expiration date is remembered because it is the default setting I've chosen..."Never".

3) Can not scroll the scrollbar with mouse cursor after selecting to change highlighting. Scrolls OK using the mousewheel.

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

The extention should be perfect if these problem were solved:
1. The icon cannot be moved.
2. Cannot save the login session.
3. Sometimes the UI is broken. ( AN EXAMPLE: http://min.us/lk5Kzu )

Does exactly what it should do Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add-on does exactly what it should do -- integrate Pastebin posting with the web browser and in the same simple-but-fully-functional manner of the Pastebin website itself. I'm really surprised this add-on has any ratings below four stars.

Regarding previous negative reviews:

1) "The Pastebin toolbar icon isn't movable..."
I've been able to place the icon anywhere on any toolbar without any problems using Firefox v3.x. I haven't tested it on any of the v4.0 betas, but it doesn't appear to be an issue on any of the stable/non-beta releases of Firefox.

2) "Pastebin posts aren't removable..."
That's simply how the website works (and a post can always be set to expire if you're unsure about it) so I think it's unfair to blame the add-on or give it negative reviews.

Be careful with what you pastebin via this thing.
It doesn't seem to use or store any cookie data which means you will not be able to remove the paste afterwards.

Icon is NOT moveable Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Like mrisump I don't use the Navigation Bar. I use Vimperator so have it disabled.

If you can update it to allow the icon to be moved on to another toolbar, like every other add on I've tried, then it will actually be quite handy for me.

Sits tight, and does it's job. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love how this Add-On allows me to do everything the official Pastebin site does (adding details about the text, and myself) directly on ANY site on the interwebs (as long as it's not a fully flash coded site). I have though the problem with it, that I can't move the Pastebin Icon. I generally don't use the Navigation bar, and have it turned off by default, so I try to move it to the Menubar - but that is not possible, for whatever reason. Besides that, a great Add-On!
