brilliant! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

works very well, very useful. Minor request: the file name pattern is very useful, but it would be an improvement if there were some more option, for example the month could be written as a word as well as a number - as it is % d %m %Y = 18 08 2010 when sometimes I want to 18 Aug 2010. A minor thing but saves a few seconds for each image.

Good, stable and problem-free add-on. I have used it for years.

This is your typical "web browser" based screen-shot software, with the exception of one or two differences. One of them being the ability to capture "flash" content. While this is feature isn't revolutionary, it does offer a slight advantage over the rest of the competition. I haven't encountered any crashes or bugs using it yet on Firefox 3.6.3, so that makes it a winner in my book.

This product worked fine, until I realized it was the add on preventing me from viewing anything using flash player 10, like metacafe, for example.

Flash compatibility

Thank you for submitting a review. If you uncheck the "Arrange to capture Flash content" option, this problem should disappear. Also, we just submitted an update (version 2.6) that fixes some problems that prevented some Flash sites from loading correctly.

No confirmation Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I am a long time user of screengrab. It does most pages and saves the capture as title plus time. Sometimes it cannot cope with the page and captures have black boxes. PCPSB seems to work on those pages. The only thing I really miss is some sort of confirmation that the capture has indeed been saved.

capture confirmation

To provide confirmation that an image has been captured, you can check the "Play a sound after capturing an image" option (located on the "Image Capture" tab within the Page Saver options window). If you looking for visual confirmation, please submit a feature request via http://pearlcrescent.com/products/pagesaver/feedback.html

Loved it, until it took away my video and chat functionality. :(

not a flash capture Rated 3 out of 5 stars

takes great stills, and will snag a clip of flash, but doesn't actually capture the flash. It's only a photo.

no video capture

Thanks for submitting a review, but we do not claim that Page Saver does anything other than capture an image of web page content (including Flash). I am sorry if you were expecting video capture.

Genial... simplemente es rapido, facil de configurar y permite definir que tipo de capturas hacer toda la pantalla, parte de ella o si tiene marcos que marco quiere capturar.

Very good but please update your add-on because I get this message "Not compatibile with Firefox 3.5.2"

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1).

Is compatible with 3.5.2

Page Saver Basic is compatible with all Firefox 3.5.* versions including 3.5.2 and 3.5.3. If you see a "not compatible" message, please try to update from the Firefox add-ons window.

Works brilliantly

I don't know why Mikeg630 had problems saving the whole page of carsdirect.com---I just went there and tried it w/out problem. I've been using this for years, too. Page Saver is a must-have in my web designer toolbox.

works MOSTLY Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Seems to work well on most web pages, in as far as getting the Whole Page, which is the functionality that intrigued me the most, however I did come across a sit where it will ONLY save the currently visible part of the page, carsdirect.com and if it does it there im sure there are others out there too, im sure there is some technical reason this happens, anyone have a clue?

carsdirect.com

I am able to capture the entire page at http://carsdirect.com/. Is entire page capture not working for certain pages within that web site? Please send us a detailed bug report via our support channels (web form at http://pearlcrescent.com/products/pagesaver/feedback.html or email to support@pearlcrescent.com) and we will take a look.

Nice functionality but I'd like the option to have a status bar icon to activate as an alternative to the toolbar icon. Thank you.

works well, even with flash. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

So far it's the only one that saves a real capture of the page *with* flash content.
Much appreciated options to save in PNG (no quality loss) and a percent-size scaled image.
Really useful the ability to name automatically the output file with title, url, date, time and more.

Small bug: It doesn't capture the flash content if the page is currently zoomed by firefox. You have to to reset zoom level before taking the shot.

very good plugin.

Bring the pro version here please Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Only the pro version of this add-on is on a par with similar ones already available here in AMO. So I don't see the point to use the basic version or fork out $15 to try the pro version.
