Fun retro theme, but also practical. The icons are highly visible, and this latest version (3.5b1) is very compact in small icon mode; should be an ideal theme for netbook users.

That little screen shot really doesn't do it justice, you've got to see it in action - the throbber is an all-time classic.

Wow, I remember this theme. It was one of the nicer ones back then.

From time to time, I swing into the mood for a retro Firefox look, and with its quirky, playful icons, the original Phoenix theme is one of my favorites. Thanks for posting this!

I would also like to mention that this theme works almost perfectly on Linux; the only thing that needs to be fixed is the menubar text color upon mouse-hover. The following lines should do the trick when added to either userChrome.css or a new User Style:

.menubar-text {
color: inherit !important;
}

menubar > menu[_moz-menuactive="true"],
menubar > menu[_moz-menuactive="true"][open="true"] {
color: inherit !important;
}

Works w/ Linux

Thanks for the review, my recommended userChrome.css fixes for Linux are posted on the forum...

Been used to this theme since the early days of Phoenix. I think hhh has done a wonderful job of resurrecting a theme that shouldn't fade into obscurity.
