Does not work in Fx 56.
Didn't work on Firefox 52.0. Please update.
Installs but the import opml does nothing.
I'm using Firefox Version 49.0 and it just asks for where to save but its not saving it
This extension did the job! Thanks.
Those weren't changed by the extension. One of the recent Firefox updates changed the default search engine to Yahoo: http://www.computerworld.com/article/2853435/mozilla-will-automatically-switch-firefox-search-to-yahoo-for-most-us-users.html
Exporting Firefox livemarks works great, with all the structure intact.
Such tools give us back our data + the power to build data tools on it, like Ahshokei who "use this to clean my 5000+ bookmarks".
Any developer who ease our work to move, keep and improve our data like M Christopher Finke ought to be rewarded by us users. And by the software developpers they add this great feature to.
Works fantastic in Firefox 32!
I use this to clean my 5000+ bookmarks. First I export to opml, then I do some local cleaning (with sort, uniq, sed, awk), then I import back as opml. When the opml-file is not compliant the add-on is not very verbose. I use the Python opml package for this, see https://pypi.python.org/pypi/opml/0.5. Note: importing can take a while, Firefox wil complain about this. Just give it some more time and it will be allright.
Importing OPML doesn't work. When I press OK, “Processing bookmarks...” appears in the dialogue box then nothing else happens. The OK button is still active so maybe that's what doesn't work. (1 star because I can't give 0 stars.)
This is a fast and easy way to export your RSS feeds for import between profiles. Excellent!
whoever read rss feed should use this addon. great
Does the job very well.
Imported my OPML with over hundreds of feed just fine (a little slow, but that's understandable).
Export is a lot faster, the extension manages to export my aforementioned collection of feed in under a minute.
The exported OPML file look valid. I've successfully import it into other feedreader (Liferea).
Exported my bookmarks (all of them) just fine as near as I could tell, however when I went to import them into my firefox installation on another computer the import function hung and never finished (I left it running for 3 hours!).
i imported an opml file from my igoogle(i first convert it from google xml to opml) then use this to convert the opml into bookmark then import the bookmark to other reader..
work like fluid if you know how to use different methods
Does not produce valid OPML, so cannot import into other readers. Needs to be fixed so it validates, otherwise the export function is not a lot of use.
It doesn't work. You can't export to an OPML file.
This is the only way—that I'm aware anyhow—to export RSS feeds from IE and import them into Firefox. (IE7 has its own OPML Import/Export functions.) The first time I tried importing into Firefox, the OPML Support Import dialog seemed to hang (dialog just stayed put). I only had two feeds, so it wasn't like it was overburdened.
I closed all browsers then re-exported IE7 RSS feeds to OPML (this time with more feeds) and then re-imported OPML into Firefox. The second time things went okay.
So there might be some interplay issues, but I'm not aware of a better option at this point.
Two bad reviews, one apparently from Spain, the other from Germany.
Here is the USA this add-on works wonders when you have to restore FireFox bookmarks from an HTML file.
I am 600% satisfied!!!
This let me import my feeds over from IE7. Didn't have any problems. Many thanks for a very useful extension!
It imported a Liferea export with no problems. Thanks.
