Why was OAA Accessibility Extension created?
I developed the OpenAjax Accessibility Evaluation Library and this extension to support web developers in making their websites and applications more accessible to people with disabilities.
What's next for OAA Accessibility Extension
We are continuing to develop the OpenAjax library, rules and rulesets. The goal is to have at least one rule for every WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA success criteria. As more people start to use the tool there will be requests and a need to update the rules and rulesets to fix bugs and to create rulesets that are specific to certain web sites and applications. There will also be a need to update the user interface of the extension to make the tool more usable to web developers and people with disabilities.
