Excellent, if it can be made compatible with session restoration Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I'd love to make greater use of this extension but if a page is never loaded before quit of Firefox, then restoration of the session results in a tab that is apparently blank, for example –
– until after it selected:
Does Firefox, or any extension, allow something like limited pre-fetch of page content? Just enough to include the title of the page. (Conceptually: somewhere between silence and a full load.)
If not, then I guess that the only workaround would be to load then unload (like, the optional feature with Auto Unload Tab 0.9.1.5), but that would defeat the purpose of Open Link in Silent Tab.
Very good! And thanks for developing a version for Chrome! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Very good! I've been using it a long time!
I had not noticed that you also developed a version for Chrome, I always wanted to use it in Chrome too!
Thank you very much! Already added to Google Chrome!
Incompatible with the Private Tab Addon Rated 3 out of 5 stars
When you open a link in a new tab from a private tab, it opens as a normal tab.
It works, but... Rated 2 out of 5 stars
My particular setup doesn't seem to like this plugin. It's causing my current install of FF to crash every five minutes. When I uninstalled this plugin, the crashes stopped. It's a shame, because I used to use this a LOT, and loved it :(
Good idea, only one "problem" here Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I have quite a lot of tabs open sometimes and I am used that new tabs/links are opened next to the one I am currently using (TabMix Plus allows this for example) but opening silent tabs with your addon adds all these tabs at the end of the tab list which makes it rather uncomfortable (at least for someone like me who uses many tabs), any chance to change this behaviour maybe ? It seems to override TabMix Plus settings concerning this

Doesn't work anymore :( Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Relly awesome and helpful addon.
But now I'm in Firefox 35.0 and it doesn't work anymore.
Please do something as this addon would be totally useless other wise
I'm not sure if it stopped working in 34 already...
Edit / Reply:
The function to open in a silent tab doesn't work. When I select it in the context menu (after right mouse button), nothing happens.
If I use Ctrl + middle mouse button, the new tab gets loaded (like without Ctrl)
Now comes the weird thing: If I start firefox in Sandboxie (same settings and even same addons afaik), the context menu thing works (can't get internet acces there atm, but the tab opens and looks like a not-loaded on). now I'm even more confused than before o.0

Can you tell me what is not working?
Because i have firefox 35.0 too and it's working fine for me.
Edit: Can you check error console?

One of my favorite addons, thank you for creating it.
Suddenly it doesn't seem to work on 35 beta - could you check it please?
A couple possible options Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I have been playing with this for a while and it looks like it will delay the loading of tabs while 3 are loading. Once one is loaded it goes to another until all are loaded. I am not sure if 3 is a setting of this addon or set somewhere else. I would LOVE the option to set how many tabs are allowed to actively load and then how many unviewed loaded tabs are allowed before stopping the rest to load.
So, say you open 100 links, 3 will be actively loading at a time until it gets to say 10 loaded but not viewed yet. Then when you view a loaded page, one of the remaining 90 gets loaded. I don't always load 100 pages, but when I do, I don't want to lock my computer up.
Useful and simple Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Simple and just what I needed.
You should be able to add keyboard shortcuts although.

This is a great addon, but it would be even better if it had a setting to open links in silent tabs with Ctrl + middle-click.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.3).
Keyboard shortcut? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It is GREAT thus far. Would it be possible to add a keyboard shortcut key? That would be fantastic. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.3).

Nice idea. Suggestion: Add option to "flush" open, dormant tabs after 10 minutes (configurable). Then refresh when I return to the tab. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.3).
Great extension Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The only thing that would be god is make it work with middle clickThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.3).
Great Add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is a great add-on.
I have a few suggestiuons:
1 - It'll be great if you can provide an option to work even with URLs from bookmarks
2 - Possibility to set this to works with middle click on links ( even from bookmarks ) to opens in silent tabs
Try Load Tab on select
But it's not working with this addon. (need to fix it)
