My particular setup doesn't seem to like this plugin. It's causing my current install of FF to crash every five minutes. When I uninstalled this plugin, the crashes stopped. It's a shame, because I used to use this a LOT, and loved it :(
I have quite a lot of tabs open sometimes and I am used that new tabs/links are opened next to the one I am currently using (TabMix Plus allows this for example) but opening silent tabs with your addon adds all these tabs at the end of the tab list which makes it rather uncomfortable (at least for someone like me who uses many tabs), any chance to change this behaviour maybe ? It seems to override TabMix Plus settings concerning this
But now I'm in Firefox 35.0 and it doesn't work anymore. Please do something as this addon would be totally useless other wise
I'm not sure if it stopped working in 34 already...
Edit / Reply: The function to open in a silent tab doesn't work. When I select it in the context menu (after right mouse button), nothing happens. If I use Ctrl + middle mouse button, the new tab gets loaded (like without Ctrl)
Now comes the weird thing: If I start firefox in Sandboxie (same settings and even same addons afaik), the context menu thing works (can't get internet acces there atm, but the tab opens and looks like a not-loaded on). now I'm even more confused than before o.0
I have been playing with this for a while and it looks like it will delay the loading of tabs while 3 are loading. Once one is loaded it goes to another until all are loaded. I am not sure if 3 is a setting of this addon or set somewhere else. I would LOVE the option to set how many tabs are allowed to actively load and then how many unviewed loaded tabs are allowed before stopping the rest to load.
So, say you open 100 links, 3 will be actively loading at a time until it gets to say 10 loaded but not viewed yet. Then when you view a loaded page, one of the remaining 90 gets loaded. I don't always load 100 pages, but when I do, I don't want to lock my computer up.
