Menu Button? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Don't know about a hot key but is there a way to get an "Open in IE" button on one of the menu bars? If so, how? Don't know whether my e-mail address is amsteingold@hotmail.com.

Used this program several years ago but lost track of it. It is the solution for anyone who wants to use iSilo Clipper.

Thanks.

Seems to crash at least once a week. I gave it a pretty good trial run, but it came up short.

To the Dev: Your quote "Most of those are hosted out of Redmond, WA." is extremely skewed and uncalled for. If you hate MS that bad, grab a Mac and crawl into a hole.

I

I appreciate you taking the time to try out my add-on, and I'm sorry you had issues with it. I will gladly try to troubleshoot any problems you have if you can provide me with some details via my website. As far as Microsoft goes, don't get me wrong, I am a big fan. However, in general, I do prefer Firefox over IE. And the fact is I have had a bad history of browsing Microsoft's sites while using Firefox. Those bad experiences led me to create this add-on, but in no way have caused me to develop ill will towards them as a company or their products.

Helpful Extension!

I would appreciate a Hot-Key as I really would like to avoid using mouse-menus.
How about Cotnrol-Shift-I or Alt-Gr-I ? (of course, configurable)

Thanks

You got it!

I just released version 1.2, which includes the "hotkey" feature you requested. Currently, it is set to Ctrl+Shift+I and is not configurable. I'll try to add that to a future version. Enjoy!

Used it a long time on FF3
Glad to see it with 3.52

It's desperatly needed for British insurab=nce companies, banks etc who have never heard of Firfox, or anything other than Active-X controls.

Which maybe explains how they crashed the economy? No Flexibility, no imagination!

Nicely, for those of us less technically minded could you give more detail on how exactly to find this file and how to upload it when amended please?

I did a search and couldn't find a file by that name.

Works in 3.5 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a great plugin!

It works fine in 3..5 too. You simply need to unzip the open_in_ie-1.1-fx-win.xpi file, change the following line in the install.rdf file via Notepad:

3.0.*

to

3.5.*

then add it back to the .xpi. Double click the .xpi or drag and drop it to your Firefox window and presto!

Can't install for new version of Firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Can you please make a version that works with Firefox 3.5? I can't install the older version, and I really liked it since Netflix only shows their movies in IE.

Works fine, but Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Works fine. When a site pops up "needed" IE, you can just right click and open IE.

But how about making one where it FOOLS IE into thinking Firefox WAS IE? Many of these web sites have that door blocker from the early days of Firefox and the same web site would work just fine today with Firefox if you could just get past the gatekeeper!

Works as described. When I right-click on a link, I see the option "Open Link in IE."
And it does open in IE.
