This addon works fine in 4, you just need to tell firefox it is compatible with ver 4.
To do this
Save the file as an xpi on your hard drive
Rename the ending of the file from xpi to zip
Open file in winzip or winrar whichever you have
Double click on install.rdf and select to open with notepad
Once notepad is open scroll down until you find the line
and change this to
Save the file and close notepad, you will see a box on top of winrar asking to update the file, say yes, close winrar/winzip
Rename the file back from .zip to .xpi
Double click on the xpi and if necessary select firefox to open it with and then it will add into firefox without problems and you can then add to your toolbar :)
It works fine for me :D
Please, we need update for Firefox 4.
i can't figure out , why this old-version addon requires a person to configure it before use ??????
Here are my thoughts:
Just tested with FF 4 b2 and works with one issue. The button remains in the active state after the first use. I'm on OSX
Love it - I'm always tweaking my extension options, so this is super convenient.
Nice and simple. You no longer have to find Add-Ins from the Tools menu. Once click and you're there. You can even customise how it works!
Works with Thunderbird 3.0
Adding the options menu was kinda unnecessary imo. Dun like the 'bump version'..
Awesome add-on.I've been looking for something like this.
Up to FF3.5 Please
Works fine with Firefox 3.1b3.
I really hate you Windows users.. especially NOOB windows users (!!!)
You seriously could have (by then) just easily add the Addons item to the toolbar and it wouldn't have opened...
5 star. Works on both linux and windows as it should
With the last version, it automatically opens in popup every time you start/restart Firefox. Please FIX IT!
I use this addon multiple times a day. It's great! Would love to see a drop down menu feature to go instantly to an addon.
Exactly what I need and use all the time. I would like to see the option of a status bar icon instead of a toolbar icon. Thank you
GREAT. This was what I have been looking for!
where is that icon??
and what its name????
Because I have my menu bar hidden this saves me 2 clicks and it does make a difference, if that makes me sad to you Sun Charm I don't really care.
To rate it 1 star because you don't use it I find a bit strange, I'm glad not all posters here are so unreasonably negative.
Very Nice. Just what I needed.
For me, this is completely pointless when you can just click tools then add ons.
So installing an add on saves you one click? Thats sad.
This nice little addon does exactly what it promises: opens the Extension Manager's dialog window by one click. After having installed it choose customize toolbar, and drop its icon upon one of the toolbars just where you'd like it to be.
