works but net speed slows down Rated 4 out of 5 stars

But generally good addon.

Awesome + a little question Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It was very useful for me in the last days, did work that I otherwise needed about 100 days or more. Only today after turned it off it didn't return my default proxy settings (system). After turned it off it show No Proxy now. No matter how much I return settings to System Detected after FF restart it is again No Proxy. Maybe there was something in System Detected settings which is missing now so it always returns to No Proxy.

PS. I succeeded to return settings. The addon works flowlessly by now only the change of the settings when addon turned off confused me.

Not working anymore? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I loved this addon. It was great and easy to use. I didn't have any problems with it up until a couple of weeks ago. It just stopped working. I unistalled and re-installed it but nothing. It switches on but it doesn't work. I hope it gets fixed because it was a great addon

Fully working again

Thanks for your review.

There was a problem with a server a few weeks ago but is still fully working again. I hope it was useful for you again.

Broken or Disabled? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Haven't been able to use proxy since Firefox update, the Proxy IP when on is just a blank little square.

The broken (google/password) proxies aren't too bad as it's very easy to change proxies but sometimes you randomly get bad proxies so many times in a row it's rageworthy.

What I'd really like to see is the ability to keep a proxy: e.g. works great, I'd like to be able to pin it so that when I turn proxy off and back on I stay with again. I hate losing a good working proxy because it's all random.

Otherwise great product, can't wait til it's fixed.

It's fully working again

Hi, thanks for your review.

One Click Proxy addon is fully working again. A few weeks ago there was a problem in a server that prevented the addon to fully work.

Sure, why not. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Sometimes Google and Captchas won't work, works. Sometimes the proxy IP will ask for a username and password to use it.

There is an ad. It is located in the drop-down menu when you click the button, you can even see it in the screenshots on the add-on page :P. It's unobtrusive & easily ignored, but if you want to go all "FALSE ADVERTISING" and "BOYCOTT" then just don't use it.

As for the icon, it's almost invisible when off, and black & bold when on.

Thanks for your objective review.

You're right, we daily automatically check and add hundred of proxies, some of them doesn't work with Google and Captchas but usually with a few clicks in reload you can find a good one for that too.

Thanks for use it and don't hesitate to write me to the support email if you need help with something related with the addon or have any comment or suggestion.

False advertisement Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Firstly, it does have ads.
Secondly, it doesn't work.
Finally, the little difference of colour between active and inactive makes it hard to see when it's active/inactive, particularly in dark background.

You're all wrong

Firstly, it doesn't have proxy ads. The proxies doesn't have ads, doesn't add obtrusive ads in every page you visit. It has only one fixed ad, not in web content, fixed under the buttons to activate and deactivate it.

Secondly, it does work. It works every day for thousands of users. If it doesn't work for you due to a particular problem with you or your computer, there you have the support email, I helped a lot of users to make the addon work when particular issues prevented to work it by default. If you learn to kindly ask, you're going to have better results.

Finally, the color change from red to green, if that is little difference to you, please tell me what is it. Moreover, not only color changes indicates you when the proxy is on or off. When is on, the IP of the proxy is shown in big numbers. And when is off, "Proxy is Off" is showed in the same place where the IP was.

Looks like this review is fully wrong, not for this addon, nothing coincides. If I don't get further response from you, I'm going to eliminate it because is fully wrong, not for this addon. You're fully wrong.

If you have a support request, kindly use the email and I will try to help you. Only if your vocabulary is correct and kind, I only answer to educated persons. I hope you learn something.

questions Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hi.this looks great, but I have several questions:does changing my proxy on FF affect other browsers?can I revert back to my original proxy?sorry if these questions look stupid,I am new to such a things. :)

Your questions are very good questions. But it's better to write me an email to to ask things like this.

The changes affects only Firefox, not other browsers.

When you click on the 'Turn Proxy Off' button in the addon, your proxy settings revert to original.

Any other question feel free to write me to the email.

In a word BRILLIANT.
Thanks for the new update guys now working in newer versions of Firefox (including dev edition).

Thanks a lot!

Works as advertised Rated 4 out of 5 stars

But it's seriously useless for my purpose.
I needed a proxy which allows https ssl tunnels and is located in the US. Only about half of the proxies supported https and maybe every fifth was in the US (not exact values, I only cycled through 15 servers or something).
If this addon supported only selecting https proxies and selecting regions for the proxies it would be perfect (both shouldn't be too hard, it could check both right from the browser or the proxy list could start adding that information or if it's not your proxy list you could add a server between the proxy list and the addon which adds that information).

Edit: Seems the onyl way I can answer: Thank you! I'll check back in some time.

Working on it

First of all, thanks a lot for your feedback.

You're right, is not too hard what you ask. Right now I'm thinking if modifying this addon to for example, be able to choose https only, or create a new one with that and other filtering options.

In some weeks some of that options is going to be done. Feel free to check my addons in some time to see if there's something new that can help you.

Although I do not know to what degree privacy actually extends server-side (with respect to generated IPs, which are more than likely logged, somewhere), this is possibly the most user-friendly and effective proxy add-on I've seen.

how to ? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

when you find a working one it does what it says perfectly but it takes too long switching proxy ip servers to find a good one , most of them dont connect so maybe a way to store/save the good ones could be useful.
whatever among the proxy addons is the most effective and user friendly , i suggest yoy to give it a try ( south american proxies work better ) cheers

Says no ads, but had ads when clicking button to proxy ON/OFF

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.56.1-signed).

Hi, this addon has no ADS in content, the kind of anoying ads that other plugins had. The only ad is a static one only in the panel of the plugin, not anoying or invasive at all.

It's easy to put ads in every page you visit, a lot of plugin does, but I don't do it.

Please rewrite your review having that into account.

Super easy to install and use. It may be slow at times but you should keep in mind that it may be relaying through a free proxy on the other side of the planet.

Google doesn't play well with One Click Proxy 0.56 I use Yahoo instead.

If you have trouble making your connection keep trying different proxies.

Can't Move the Button Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Easy-to-use addon that works well with several IPs! However, the inability to move the icon in the navbar when you customize, especially in Firefox 29, is very annoying. You have to live with the "P" icon stuck to the right of the Firefox hamburger icon!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.56.1-signed).

You're right

HI Karl, thanks for your review. You're right regarding the button that can't be moved, I'm working to improve this, the problem is that if I remove that button and let only the option to add it using the new customize function of ff29, a lot of people is not going to find it and think that the addon is not working. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome, feel free to write me to the support email( ) if you have any other comment or suggestion. Thanks!!

Reload if slow Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The first time I checked the speed with proxy at "speakeasy" the speed was really down. But when I turned off proxy and then back on, it was as fast as I ever see with or without the proxy. So, be willing to reset it if your speed is slow. Also, make certain you are set to auto configure proxy or it will just refuse to load sites.
