Nice addon! and great idea! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Cool addon, especially the glass effect on sidebar (and works on ubuntu too!!).

Just a question, first load of the sidebar didn't work hovering mouse on a side, or does it have to be with the shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+S)? I had to do it that way, after that, I could make sidebar appear moving mouse to a side.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.1.1-signed).

The sidebar still opens and closes as normally, that means it needs to be opened to be hidden, and when it is hidden it's not closed. What this means is you need to open the sidebar for it to hide to the side, if you don't want it to keep popping up you can just close it easily as well. And if you want it to always display when hovering to the side then just never close it. Maybe I should make this distinction between "hiding" and "closing" clearer in the description.

This one of my Favorite Add ons for Firefox BUT there is a glitch...When you apply the Glass Feature, the background of many websites become glass as well and you can basically see your desktop wallpaper...Hope there is a fix soon!

EDIT: The glitch has been fixed and it works perfectly now! I am currently using Firefox 9.0.1 Beta :D

(Sorry about the late reply, I read it at the time but couldn't answer immediately and then I forgot about it) Yes this is a glitch I'm already aware of, to be honest it annoys me as well. However it's either this or another annoying thing: a white bar across the sidebar when it's in the docked position. If I can't completely fix this for the next version I will at least make it so users can choose which of the "annoyances" they prefer best.

Brilliant work! I think you should add more descriptions under the title to let people konw its functions at a glance. I nearly missed it. The best features are auto-hiding and twin bars. Thanks a lot.

Best sidebar enhancer Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Perfect compliment to 2 Pane Bookmarks. Some features of this add-on are not needed for my use but the auto-hide and appearance features are superb. Anyone who has not tried this add-on is missing a good one. Ditto goes for 2 Pane Bookmarks.

Excellent, simple add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Yes, I've been using a competitor's product for some time, but it was not supported by the latest Firefox Beta update and it had too many unnecessary options. Thus the search for a cleaner add-on. I want something simple that would only autohide my bookmarks. This fits the bill perfectly.

I'm only surprised that there aren't more downloads and more reviews. At least the reviews are positive.

Five stars plus. Thanks for creating an excellent add-on!

The new version is incompatible with Read It Later Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I‘m already use the newest 0.8 version, and use 'vertical toolbar' instead of 'AIOS', bring same effect I want, perfect!!
and this version can work with DragIt , great!!
But I found a new incompatible addon 'read it later' , when use omnisidebar 0.8 and read it later same time, the location bar icon of readitlater will disappear and can not sync reading list! Please fix it in next version, thank you!

Yep, I've already received a bug report about this, I will fix it for the next version which might take a couple of weeks (don't have much time currently). Thanks for letting me know.

EDIT: I cannot reproduce this bug, the read-it-later location bar button is still there and working perfectly as far as I can tell. I need more info on this: what read-it-later/omnisidebar preferences have you changed from default, if testing in a clean profile with only these two add-ons also removes the button, etc. Please email me or leave an issue in the support site so I can talk to you some more.

Perfect for me in fullscreen Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I used Sidebar Autohide or Optimoz Tweaks for years. Since they were not supported anymore, i had to use AIOS but i got some annoying bugs with it.
I just found OmniSidebar today and i have to thanks the author. It's exactly what i need after disabling visual effects. The sidebar pops up instantly when i touch the left side of my browser then autohides. Simple, quick, no frills.

Many thanks !
