Read my review before giving it low stars, it works and it works nicely. Just remove the search bar and enable "show search engine icon"
With just the button to close it at the bottom of the window.
This add-on is discontinued. Please use my other one Beyond Australis for a similar an «d enhanced functionality for more recent versions of Firefox.
this is very good. I wish it would display in the specified order right away, kind of distracting when 1st second it's one thing, and then in order - but besides that it's perfect
It's a great add-on.
One more question: it says middle click the search engine in the location bar to switch to the home page. Can you expand it like this: when I click the search engine in the location bar to show the search engine list, then I middle click a new engine to switch to its home page too?
It's an interesting suggestion, but I don't think I'll be expanding this add-on with more features. I'm sorry to disappoint.
I installed this addon. It is so good that I removed the search. Omnibar Plus does so much and does it well.
Thank you for this useful extended version!I've a problem organizing the suggestion list. If a bookmark is tagged than this bookmark lists itself not within the bookmarks but within the "everything else" section. Is there a workaround for this behavior?
Edit: Thanks for the last update.
You're absolutely right, I hadn't realized that tagged bookmarks would not be in the same category. I'll try to get them to organize properly with the rest of the bookmarks for the next version. I hope you update the rating you gave in the review when I do. ;)
UPDATE: fixed in 1.0.16
This addon adds those little things that I was actually looking for in original Omnibar. Excellent!
First a short review:
Great add-on! It is doing what it is supposed to – unclogging my Awesome Bar.
About the BabelZilla question:
The list that is referred to in the review below is a list of add-ons that are registered on and uploaded to BabelZilla, but don't have any translator assigned to them for the locale in question (in this case Hebrew, he-IL). It is always updated. The reason Omnibar Plus doesn't appear in that particular list is that a translator for he-IL already has registered to that add-on.
To get a full list of registered and uploaded add-ons, log in to BabelZilla and then go to the "Web Translation System" (WTS start page) > tab "All Extensions".
Thank you for clarifying this, I didn't know it worked that way either.
Also, yes the hebrew translation has been done for a while, it will be included, along with more, in the next version which I will release next week.
An excellent expansion to Omnibar. I went to the issues page to report that the tab key wasn't working, but saw that there was already a commit to fix it. A regularly developed extension is a wonderful thing :)
Useful add-on to the Omnibar extension. Makes the search suggestions dropdown prettier and sorts the suggestion entries.
