Very nice Add-on, thanks!

Suggestions...
1. Instead of 2 preset sizes, let users select their own size.
2. I mainly got NewScrollbars because it allows for a dark background. But I'm sure other users would like to select any color they wished for the background.
3. A few styles to choose from would be nice. And if possible, allow users to add their own design to the style.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.4).

Thanks.

1. The two present sizes will remain for the predefined scrollbars but there will be more settings in v1.0.5 where one of them will be the custom size selection.
2. Colorpickers for scrollbars background, thumbs and buttons will be added to next release.
3. Maybe in a future release I could add some more styles. Atm a "style" (for e.g. predefined scrollbars) consists of 11 images. I simplyfied this in v1.0.5 so there are only three images needed now. Unfortunately the scrollbar caps got removed for this kind of simplification.

Very helpful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I just stumbled across this add-on today, which has made my day! There are numerous times when the location of the scrollbar isn't obvious; this extension makes that a thing of the past. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the information. In fact, a detailed info :)

I believe, since Mozilla is an open source, there has to be an alternate to your implementation.

However, I'm increasing your star rating:
1 for the very good information
1 for the very good implementation
1 more, appreciating, expecting you will figure out an alternate.

;) Cheers !!!

Ok, thank you, I want just to inform you after reading more about it on Bugzilla and mozillazine forums that this is indeed a Firefox bug present for years now. This cannot be fixed inside an add-on but must be fixed inside Firefox. If you have time you can read about it here:

Very well done! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Like others, I have looked for something like this. Currently running FF 10 beta 6. They work fine.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.3).

About your question (that was in the email but not in this comment): The scrollbar borders in light view are needed for light customizeable backgrounds only. Scrollbars background does not look like it is mixed with (light) webcontent that way.

NoiaScrollbars 1.0.3pre4

Adds a gradient to the top of the scroll bar when using transparency feature

This extension doesn't add the gradient, it is a "Windows" feature. Look exactly at your window (any window) caption and you will see there is always such a gradient, not only with glass effects on. ;-) You cannot disable it.

Great, except I wish it had more options Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great, except I wish it had more options like a color picker and the ability to specify the width.

I couldn't figure out how to reply, so I'll add it here. I'd like to see some darker toolbars - dark gray, dark blue, dark green and dark red. The default width works for me, but 15px would be ok too.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.2).

ATM there are no plans for adding a color picker or a width selector to this extension.

I just interested in what color/width you have in mind you need.

17px is the default FF-scrollbar width, 13px is just a bit smaller.

More than 17px would look a bit plump and less than 13px could be harder to click on... just my thoughts.

Hi can you make randomize when FF restart or new start as options ??? TOP ADD-On !!! :-)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.2).

Thanks.

I have added a randomize option to my testbuilds. Untill this extension isn't fully reviewed I cannot upload devbuilds being marked as beta. First I want v1.0.2 to be fully reviewed before I release a new version, but you can send my an email and I will send you my testbuild with randomizer option.

I like it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Looks good (Firefox 9.0.1). Also coordinates well visually with this user style (for Stylish add-on; replaces ugly red tab close buttons and some others with attractive aqua-colored spheres):

Seems to work in Fx 6, too Rated 5 out of 5 stars

For some years now I've wondered why someone hasn't done this yet. Looks good... now, how about offering some optional colors? :D (and it would be best to mod only the scrollbars)

(I run several versions of Firefox--3.6, 6, 7, 8 and 9--at some point during the day; I've only installed this in Fx 6 and 9 so far.)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).

Thanks, next version will have more selectable colors for scrollbars.

I haven't tested them on Firefox <8, but they should work with FF 4 - FF 12.
But why are you still using FF6 instead of FF9? ;-)

I tested and marked v1.0.1 as working with FF4-FF12a1.
