- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17199153, a year agoWhen somebody links me to some Twitter thread, reading it on a Nitter instance is so, so much more pleasant than the official Twitter web site. Even better, I've configured the extension to use https://twitit.gq which automatically redirects to a tested and working Nitter instance.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Old Nit, 2 years agonitter.net is rate limited, and there is no visible way to use another instance. EDIT: Manually modifying the xpi and disabling/enabling the addon did the trick. EDIT: Thanks for the quick response. This is the only extension I have without a "Preferences" option in the add-on menu, but that's certainly visible enough.
Developer responseposted 2 years agoClick on the extension icon in the top right of your browser (see screenshots on the store), there you will find the extension settings including an instance input where you can either select a predefined instance or enter a custom one. Make sure you include the entire URL for a custom instance, removing any trailing slashes, e.g. https://this-is-an-instance.com
