- by Supernaut, 6 months agoRated 3 out of 5This is the best designed dial that I've found, but it needs to sync with the bookmarks folder to be useful. I have way too many bookmarks to add them one by one. If this were implemented, then I would definitely rate it 5 stars.
The groups need drag and drop sorting as well.
Developer responseposted 5 months agoHi, thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately syncing with the bookmark folder is not on the current roadmap as I do not want to handle users private data and to avoid needing extra add-on permissions.
The bookmark groups can be sorted when in Edit mode. Each group has a control bar above it in this mode with arrows to move up or down and a handle to sort via drag and drop.
Hope that helps.
- by Padua, 9 months agoRated 3 out of 5Update : On FF 79.0b7 this extension defaults at EVERY browser start to the extension's default settings.
Have tried setting it up as home page with url etc.
A bit frustrating. Request the developer to fix this please. Thank you.
Very functional, simple addon with a clean UI and minimal clutter - compared to many of the other new tab extensions that cram the screen.
Thanks to the developer.
Please keep up the minimal clutter UI design principle.
Developer responseposted 9 months agoThanks for the feedback. I run tests on Firefox as well as Chrome. On the latest Firefox (79.0b7) nightTab is working as expected.
Can you help me understand the issue by checking if you have any other extensions or settings turned on which clear data, cookies or local storage when closing Firefox?
If you can't reply to this post please open an issue ticket on the GitHub repo: https://github.com/zombieFox/nightTab/issues
Update, an issue ticket was opened here: https://github.com/zombieFox/nightTab/issues/205
Issue is related to another addon used by Padua which cleared all browser data on Firefox restart.
