Lean and useful every so often Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It has a small job I need only a few times a day. The beauty is how the functions are small and infrequent and the resource cost is exceptionally proportionate. Nice job.

5 stars; but please update it for FF7 right now!!! =)

Thanks for keeping this functionality alive.

Great extension! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This extension is great, but I am finding it difficult to configure.

Firstly, I really think that there should be an "Options" item in the context menu, in order to configure new tools more easily.

Secondly, I wish to configure a new tool that allows me to go to the root of the domain at a single click. For example, for https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/reviews/add/3763 this new tool would take me to https://mozilla.org.

This is my configuration so far:

Match: ^http(s?)://.*\.(.+)\.([^/]+)
Action: http$1://$2.$3

But unfortunately, Neo Diggler appends the reset of the URL parameters to the end.

If someone would offer some advice on this, I would be grateful.

Thanks
Hal

Thank you I need this!

I second the other comments to add support for middle-click into new tab and make the picture on this page larger :)

I'll look into this

.. next time I put a release out!

Please add other caches to your list of caches:

* CoralCDN
* Yahoo! Cache
* MSN Cache
* Gigablast

See https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2570 for URL templates.

Also, please add to the list the www-subdomain and subdomainless versions of the site.

You should be able to add any you want

Use the custom-tools part of Neo Diggler's preferences window. Email me if you are struggling, and I'll try to help out. I'll post any working ones here.

Too small of an Image to care to add-on, at present. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Your image presents itself as too small for me to determine if I would want to add this. Please elaborate, and/or at least enlarge the JavaScript Image.

Better?

I've uploaded a bigger one now.

Great. What about even better? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very useful.
I'd like be able of middle clicking on the URLs in order to open it in other tab. And maybe an option for opening all the revised.
Have You checked DiggiDig, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2819 ,it has some very interesting features, like Paste-n-Go, DNSstuff WHOIS search, You can define any web-service querry... it would be great if We could have it in NeoDiggler.
By the way, Thank You.

Feature Request Rated 4 out of 5 stars

In one of the previous incarnations of this excellent utility, one of the "standard" choices presented in the menu was the base domain name with "www" substituted for whatever third-level domain name was present. For example, if the URL is "https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3763" the bottom two choices would be "https://addons.mozilla.org/" and "https://www.mozilla.org/". I think there may have been a divider line between the regular ones and this revised one, or it was down with the ftp choice. Could this perhaps be added, maybe as a checkbutton option in the options dialog?

Excellent; a real time-saver and very useful :)

It would be nice if it allowed navigating subdomains, as in the Digger extension (I used that one before, but it seems not to be maintained for Fx 3)

Neo Diggler Serious Gotcha Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It is a good extension, with a major defect. It has a large button, and a small piece at the right-hand end of the button gives access to the url tools. But, if you accidentally hit anywhere on the rest of the button, the url disappears, and is not available in the url tools section, or anywhere else. It means that you have to reload the page, which in the case of a large page, can be somewhat time-consuming. I never need the "wipe the address-bar clean" facility, so this is a major pain in the backside for me.

Next version will have 'restore'

There's a sub-menu option to restore the URL to match the page. I'll try to upload it this weekend.

Neo Dirk Diggler Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great, very useful extension. Been using the original for years, and now Neo Diggler comes along - thanks :)

(Pressing Enter in the URL address bar works fine for my Firefox with this installed, btw.)

breaks 'enter' in url bar. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

its an awesome extension!,

and i'd used it forever, still have it bookmarked. but right now, after using it the first time it breaks pressing 'enter' on address bar. i'm hoping it will be fixed. i'll check on a bug report as soon as i actually have a free moment, but until then; i'm hoping the developer will read this. but at the least i felt that i had to warn others :'( i really hope they fix it.

No it doesn't :-)

This is just the way FF3 works; try it again.

Works just like the old Diggler Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I installed this for archive.org and Google cache links. It's a timesaver if you use those frequently. Feature request: could WebCite be added to the archive links? Google and Wayback miss some pages.
