Latest version a win-win Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I am thrilled to see that the option in now there to choose between per window and tabbed profiles. It's nice to see there are still developers who understand that one size doesn't always fit all, and choice is good.
Now using 3.1.0 with no issues at all. Thanks.
Great addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks for your addon!
It would be nice to see these changes in new versions:
1. Please use default style of badged button in Firefox 36+ (it looks more consistent, see https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/SDK/Low-Level_APIs/ui_button_action).
2. Another interesting idea: ability to set different proxy options for every Multifox profile.
3. Also it would be very nice if Multifox will handle Private Tabs as Private Windows (see Private Tab addon)

Muito bom! Você pode se conectar com várias contas simultâneas. Só precisa de alguns "toques" para melhorar. Por exemplo abrir a aba já com o perfil selecionado. Mas isso vai melhorando com o tempo. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.1.0).
Works really well! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Cannot believe not a single browser has this built-in. It's a must have feature for anyone who has more than one user account anywhere!
Only comment is that I wish I could make it more obvious when I'm in a certain profile, as it's too easy to forget. I tried giving profiles really long names, but Multifox won't grow beyond a certain width, sadly.

need option to switch profiles on right clicking the tab bar. just like private tab https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/private-tab/This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.1.0).
Per-tab version is really surprising, and it's great (a little bug detected) Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Wow! I am glad that an addon like this exists. I currently deal with substantial amount of website editing works and needs to access different accounts on a same website. This addon really helps me doing that without the hassle. Great job.
EDIT: This addon works great... however has a little bug: when I open a tab from an external link from other tabs, that link creates a tab with separate profile (still says default profile, but how I figured this out is that I was logged out on that tab). That needs to be fixed for this addon to be completely usable.

In the earlier versions of this addon, Ctrl + Shift + M would open a new window with Profile 2. From then, you could click a little button and choose which profile you wanted to use. All in the same window.
In the previous versions, it would be one profile per window, which was really annoying for me because I work with multiple accounts at the same time and switching windows is not so fun.
In the latest version, you can use a different profile for every tab. I love this. Not only I won't have to open a new window, but I can have a lot of accounts in the same window.
Dev, I love you.

great addon! , but it would take the cake if it opened blacklistet domains automatically in userprofiled tabs! so you could use it as the best countermeasure against google and still use youtube like normal ! 5 stars great prog! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.1.0).
New window but not new session - Update - works now :-) Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Update 1/15 - I decided to check in to see if there were any changes and it worked perfectly for me. A new window with a new session opened and I was able to have two separate log in instances for my website. I have upped to 5 starts cause this makes my life so much easier. Thank you for listening!
Update 1/5 - the latest version (just installed it) opens a new window perfectly now but it does not create a new session. It is still the old session so it does not allow me to log into my website or LMS with a different access combo. I have to first log out (which also logs me out on the original) in order to log in with a second combo. I tried it twice. Thanks for working on this problem.
Update: Thanks for contacting me regarding 3.1.0b1. It is not working correctly for me. After installing I went into options and checked the window mode box. Before the first update what used to happen is I would click on the multifox icon and select "new: which would open up a totally new window with a new session, the page displayed would be my firefox home page. From there I surfed to the wanted url and logged in. I could already be logged in with a different profile but the new session allowed me to log in again with a different access combo.
What seems to be happening now is I am not getting a new window when I click new but instead I am logged out of the current window and given the option to log back in. It never opens a new window at all.
Am I doing something wrong?
I do not use tabbed browsing. I need to have individual windows and the ability to log into various areas of my company's website and LMS with multiple identities (admin, teacher, student etc). It was working wonderfully until the last update. Now all it does is reload the page I am on. Is it possible to go back to the previous version and have it as the non-tabbed option? I will have to move to another browser if I cannot find a way to open separate sessions in separate windows and I don't want to do that. Thanks for your consideration - this add-on has been 5 stars, until this update, for me.
UPDATE: 3.1b2 "new" should work as expected.
Please try 3.1b1 and enable "Window Mode" – https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/multifox/versions/

Make setting to choose Windows (old) or Tab (new) Rated 5 out of 5 stars
"Yes, while many users prefer the per-window approach, profile per-tab is the most requested feature. Still have to decide what to do. "
if you can make it double .. that's will be great.. :)
if you can make setting that we can choose, use windows (old) or use tab (new).
i prefer per-window approach, open one windows, and every tab will be that profile.... because per-tab need to change every time.. :)
*thank for this Multifox... :)
Thanks! Per-window people, please add your ideas here:

Does It work with all sites???.
Apparently not as the GMX email service gives an error!. The MF button says error: site uses a feature not supported (Indexed DB).

Does GMX Mail work with private browsing? No? Then Multifox won't work. Yes? it should work with Multifox. Please, feel free to give me more details: https://getmultifox.com/bugs/

Incredible useful add-on. Some suggestions:
For privacy reason, I think it would be better if the user can hide the icon in menu bar and access it via right click menu.
New version 3.0 forces new tab (+) opening in same "profile" to the active tab. It may cause a bit inconvenience. May be it has an option to open new window next to default. I've just quick drafted it:
Thanks to the developer for this great add-on.
Work Perfect !!! Nice Ultility!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Everything went well.
If there are diff colors on every tab, that will be awesome.
Is there any add-on shows current gmail account mail notifier with Multifox?
Beta FTW! Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I just updated to 3.0.0b5 and the disappearing profiles bug seems to have been fixed.
Previously created profiles now stay on the list after they are closed.
What's more, you can switch the active profile for any tab without opening a new window.
Now I can finally consolidate all my separate firefox browser profiles and use MultiFox to switch between my accounts.
Has the following flaw:
Profiles disappear from the list when their browser window is closed.
e.g. After using profile 4 and closing everything again, I'd have to press create "new" 3 times again to open profile 2, 3, and 4 just to use profile 4 again.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to create a few named profiles and have them permanently stay on the list so I can select and open any one at any time.
Got rid of all my other browsers because of this Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This add-on is so good that I have uninstalled all the other browsers I had on my computer because it turns each Firefox window into an independent browser of its own while keeping all my bookmarks and settings intact. It has made my dream of using one browser for everything come true. It’s what I've been looking for all my life and I finally found it this year (October 2014) when I was going through the Firefox Add-ons facebook page where it had been featured as the February Pick-of-the-Month. It enables me to log into my 3 different facebook and Google accounts at the same time without any conflict, something which cannot be achieved without this add-on, meaning before I discovered it, I always had three different browsers running at the same time. So no more switching from one browser to another, I’m now a full time Firefox user thanks to this amazing add-on.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2.1).
