Well, MozRepl isn't declaring itself to be compatible with Firefox 20, so giving it three stars because it doesn't work with Firefox 20 is rather unfair.
(Tip: this is the kind of things that demotivates developers, and demotivated developers don't update software faster. For the sake of developers and other users, please don't do that.)
That said, and as reported two days before this review on the MozRepl mailing list. an unofficial build is available from http://ubik.cc/projects/mozrepl-1.1.1-preview.xpi while the new version is being reviewed by a.m.o. staff.
This is a great addon but this version doesn't work with firefox 8.0.
I know that they is a version that works with firefox 8.0 but i can't find a xpi version of this version.
Is there anywhere this version in .xpi file in the Internet?
If there isn't, can I make a .xpi version of this mozrepl version and give it into the Internet. I simply need use the mozrepl to one of my programm and I need to give it my clients in the most simply way.
Hi Zubi, I'm not seeing problems here under 8.0 with MozRepl 1.1 as available on AMO. If it's not working for you, can you report it on the issue tracker on GitHub, preferably with errors showing up in the console if any? Thanks!
Unfortunately I had to fall back to Version 1.1beta2. After upgrading to Version 1.1 on 12/15/2011 - Keeform (an addon to Keepass) was no longer autofilling form fields. Hey I know FF v3.6.25 is old - but comments indicate that it is still supported by MozRepl.
*Updated 12/21/11* - Very Kind of the developer to respond here - and I too have re-checked/reinstalled using latest MozRepl - now under FFv.3.6.25 - with the same results. The V1.1beta2 version from GitHub works - but not the version available here. Not looking for a fix / just sharing my experience - so if someone else has the same problem - they can find a version that may works for them.
I just re-tested under Firefox 3.6.24 to make sure everything works fine, and it does. I understand your frustration if your use case for MozRepl is simply running KeeForm, but if there's a problem in the interaction between the two you might have better luck mentioning it to KeeForm's author.
This is a quite interesting and great add-on. It is able to inspect internals lots better than firebug's console..
I have been using version 1.0 since a week ago only (didn't know of his existence before), and i have to tell i love it.. However... i was about to report this version as broken until i saw your website, where it is told it's for FireFox 4.x (oh, wait, or do you only mean support for it was added, then you broke it)
Here under win32 3.6.13 does not work, clicking "Start" under Options window or Tools menu does nothing.
If it would work, i would rate it 5, i rated it 4 with version 1.0 in mind ;)
