This add-on SHOULD become a major add-on. Even a built in feature. Its too good! What's great is that its still has so much more potential that has yet to be realized. I can see this revolutionizing how we surf the web.

I downloaded it from here: http://bitbucket.org/satyr/ubiquity/downloads/tip.xpi
That makes it work in FF 4.0.0b
This add-on needs to be continued.
Before you hear about it you didn't desire it, after you hear about it you can't live without it!

If Mozilla is so thick as to stop development on this, then their future looks bleak.

Better they stop development on "Panorama", which Opera's "stacks" has pooh-poohed, and/or private browsing, which is a clumsy implementation compared to even IE's incognito, and reallocate people to Ubiquity.

Chrome has nothing to match this, and Ubiq is definitely a geek's dream.

Update Your Ubiquity Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been running the version from http://bitbucket.org/satyr/ubiquity/downloads/tip.xpi since Mozilla discontinued official support for it, and the developer has been very good about keeping up with the latest FF changes. I'm running "0.6.1pre20101111" under FF 4.0b7 with no issues.

This should be bundled with FFox! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I can NOT imagine using Firefox without Ubiquity!
Even forcing/tweaking it to work with newer versions was an option until Satyr was kind enough to fix it.

If I ever stop using FFox as a main browser. I will have to port Ubiquity with me :)

Ubiquity is the best add on EVER! Who could not like it? You don't have yo know all the technology for it! Email, translate, definitions, and more at my fingertips.

What happened?? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

WHAT HAPPENED??? I started my FF today and all my ubiquity commands like google, wikipedia, map and translate to are gone! All I can do with ubiquity now is twitter! Ubiquity is one of my must-have addons! now, you're forcing me to uninstall! thank you for that!

Too good to lose Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I've been using Ubiquity for about a year and a half, and honestly have no idea how I functioned without it. Simple things like the HUD overlay of searched terms have made my whole internet experience better and more efficient. It is a game-changing add-on, and I've gushed about it to many people.

Which is why it's a tragedy that this isn't being supported anymore. I honestly imagined that I would be using Ubiquity until it was a standard feature of firefox, not that the project would be abandoned. I'm glad someone is maintaining it enough to keep it compatible with new releases, but the lack of support will become more obvious as little bugs creep in without fixes and more commands stop working (I already miss "email this", and am hoping for a workaround for "share on google reader").
Still, Ubiquity is so incredible that I'll keep using it until I can't.

Hi, First things first, this is a great addon, a great idea. Very handy. But there is one glitch that is bothering me. I have just installed the available release, get the message to update to 0.5 version on the 'about' starting page, but when I tried to upgrade, I found out that it wasn't compatible with firefox 3.6.6! Also there is no possibility to use other localizations for this otherwise splendid piece of software. I do not know for sure if, on the 'about' page, there was any information regarding the compatibility. As I didn't find any I got surprised for this 'glitch'.

Looking forward (eagerly!) to test the 0.5!!!! Thumbs up you gals and guys!!!!!

Great add-on. Very helpful in a lot of ways. It made doing things in the same tab a lot easier, and the wikipedia preview page was very nice.

Email feature not working for me Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This email to feature doesn't work for me in 3.6. For example, when I highlight part of a web page I want to send to somebody and issue the command to email to, nothing happens (my gmail is open). Also, why don't you guys upgrade that 5.0 version as well. It's kind of confusing when you first add the extension it takes you to the 5.0 page and asks you to install, yet the 5.0 version is not even compatible. What kind of ish is that?
