Mozilla, cheer up please! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Sad to see such addon was discontinued. Fx was once the most innovative browser driving the development of browser functions in the age of Fx3.

Unfortunately, with the adoption of rapid development cycle since then, Fx seems become lacking some killer functions which are well anticipated by the users.

Mozilla, you have the most powerful user community as your support, please do consider how to drive innovation again, in addition to enhancement of browser performance like Javascript rendering, memory management.

Cyberspace at your fingertips Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add on is the closest you'll get to surfing "cyberspace" as expressed by sci fi novelists in the 80s and 90s... It opens up fast new ways to explore the internet and collate information. It is one of the Mozilla Labs extensions that needs to find it's way in to the core of FF7.

Seriously, Mozilla, what the hell?? Ubiquity is the best thing I have ever encountered in a web browser, and when it came out I thought "Well that's it; the search bar is dead, and this is the future of the browser". God knows how many updates later and it just seems to have been dumped! Either Mozilla is blindingly stupid, wanting to stay in the past and actively ignoring the thousands of devotees, or - and I hope this is true - they're going to pull a surprise and have ubiquity at the centrepiece of a new firefox browser. Sadly I reckon its the former. But I'm really hoping to be surprised.

Ubiquity in Firefox 4 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

At one point there was a lot of buzz that ubiquity would be, at some level, integrated into firefox 4. This seems to have completely fizzled. And to make things worse, you can't even use this version with the new browser.

However, if you're looking for some fix, may I suggest going over to mozzila's blog entry here : http://mozillalabs.com/ubiquity/2010/03/10/community-maintained-version-of-ubiquity-for-firefox-3-6/ . There you can find an xpi link that if you open with firefox will give you dearest ubiquity back.

I had a nice little review glorifying ubiquity all written up, but it failed to post and I'm all out of effusive praise for the time being. To state it simply, Ubiquity is great, I consider the biggest leap in web browser technology since tabbed web browsing, and it shouldn't have been dumped like it was. Until someone can convince me that there is a better way to search the internet I will be rockin' this old xpi.

This extension has become such a huge part of the way I use my browser and the internet. Now that I have updated to Firefox 4, I feel so crippled without Ubiquity. I would be so very glad if this project was revived.

Absolutely the best thing in any web browser since the invention of tabs. Thanks a lot to the community for keeping this alive.

I love this tool.
For using it on ff 4 I modified
/extensions/ubiquity@labs.mozilla.com/install.rdf
at the line with the "<maxVersion>" I wrote "4.0".
It works fine.
