Its great, but instead of having to go to "Tools > Convert Website to Application", why not also have an options by right clicking.

To get it to work with FF3.6, you can cheat this website into thinking you use FF3.5.
Enter "about:config" in the URL-bar, find the setting "general.useragent.extra.firefox" and change it to "Firefox/3.5". Then reload this page, the button should become availabe.
Make sure to remember the original setting (in my case, Firefox/3.6b5) and reenter it after you've installed this extension.

Not working Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I'm using firefox 3.5.6 on Archlinux, KDE 4.

I can create apps but they don't work. The script cannot override my own firefox config.
Can someone tell me how to do it?

Awesome one.

However, I do like to see its so-called incompatibility with FF 3.6 being fixed because it really works.

Great idea but I'd like to see the ability to add selective add-ons to the "app". For example the iMacro, which I use to automate some SaaS steps.

Absolutely fantastic! The problem with Firefox is that it gets monolithic... fast. Having separate processes running is great with multiple cores.

Brilliant project, nearly there Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I used Prism in Ubuntu on my previous laptop, and I loved the ability to run websites as apps. I am doing the same with this extension on my new Macbook.

Some very practical uses include:
Google Docs
EyeOS
Email (to avoid waiting for downloads of clients)
Other cloud-based applications that you would otherwise need to run in a browser

The functionality of Prism is not 100% there. Websites do not always work fully as intended.

Still, this extension is more than worth the small download.

Great works, now it works also for Linux but I would like to be able to create a favorite shortcut for netbook-launcher (I still use webapps instead of Prism ext to do that)

There is an extension called webfav for firefox that is installed with unbuntu netbook remix and does the job but it starts firefox with all the menu.

Bug in 1.0b2 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The 1.0b2 is buggy: you can't use website with self-signed certificate.
After creating the prism app, you open it, and see the warning "The connection is untrusted". You can click "get me out of here" or click the button "Add exception", but nothing happens after clicking any of them. They both looks like dummy button - there is no reaction of prism on pressing them. So the the self-certified application are unusable on prism.
(tested on WinXP, and firefox 3.5.3, prism 1.0.b2)

Prism allows https exceptions. Just not when adding new Prism apps in the dialog. Just proceed anyway, and when the site opens in a Prism window, it will allow you to set exceptions.

Could stand to support it on the dialog though, because I can't get the favicon! Also, it seems Prism itself has lost its prism-icon.

But all that is irregardless of this really convenient extension, to which I give a high-five!
