Comfortable navigation with mouse surely ! Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I really like and since a long time i'm looking for such add-on which transforms your standard navigation into a modern mouse-style navigation : you can select your tab, going to the top or the bottom of the page without changing your focus out of the page itself !
I'm not interesting in zoom capabilities which interfers with my other add-on Default Full Zoom Level ? Can I disconnect them ? Or otherwise how do i select 115 % instead of 110% or 120 % with MouseControl zoom functionnality? How can I select a zoom default value for all site and then a specific one for a particular site ?
Thank you for the review!
I will actually be putting out a improved version of this in the future. As this one is not webextension friendly.
You can disable the zoom functions from the options panel. You can reach this panel by going to about:addons and then clicking on "options" for "MouseControl" row. :)
how go-back by double-click? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
how go-back by double-click?
Thanks very much for this review. In v2.0 you can set it up to do so. The code to enter would be Services.wm.getMostRecentWindow('navigator:browser').selectedBrowser.back()
Very weird bug with Firegestures Rated 5 out of 5 stars
First of all great addon.
I came across a weird bug using FG(firegestures) and MC 1.5.2. FG has an option called rocker gestures where you can assign left-click while holding right button and right-click while holding left button to do something. Since already MC uses the first to switch between tabs I used the second to minimize firefox.
But with MC 1.5.2 instead of minimizing the window it hides elements in the page where the mouse pointer is. Using MC 1.5.2 and going back to previous versions of FG didn't help, instead the solution was to go back to MC 1.5.1.
Also in version 1.5.1 except using right-click and wheel up/down to switch tabs, I could also use right-click and wheel tilt left/right with mice that have a tilt wheel. That was particular helpful with mice with infinite scroll.
With version 1.5.2 this is broken and right click and wheel tilt left/right moves focus only to the left.
Thank you for your time.
Thanks very much for your review. That hide element is a secret feature I left it on accident haha
In version 2 which I am currently working you will have full control over all of this. :)
And it will play nice with Firegestures. :)
Doesn't work in OS X (Yosemite) Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've recently switched from Win to Mac.
Really don't want to lower the addon's raiting or bother you via mail, but this is a big report, in the first place.
When addon is turned on (tried with all other addons disabled), mouse actions start getting weird either from the start or after some time.
Can't put cursor in a particular place in text field. Some buttons won't press in web.
The main functionality of the addon also break (no tab switching, zoom, new tab and so on).
Please, fix it.
I'm sure that it's the plugin issue and not other plugins or app installed on the computer. Maybe it's because Firefox is 64 bit in OS X by default. Don't know exactly.
I'm a long time user of this addon and it's really the main thing of how I interact with firefox.
I can provide any additional info via mail, if needed.

Bug introduced with 1.5.2, zoom level is not being remembered per site.
Otherwise, great addon, just using 1.5.1 for now.
Thanks very much for this report I'll look into it. Just a note, since FF24, MouseControl v1.5.1 will not work unless you go to options panel and make it "Hide Zoom Display".
I just verified that you are right, I'll work on fixing that bug.

Sounds like a good idea - I always wanted to open a new tab by double-click.
Simply does not work in FF28 on Mint Linux. Does not do anything at all. Good news - it does not break anything either.
Edit: Please try now, I have just uploaded v1.5.2 (it's not approved yet so only available through version history page for now)
I have to badly update this, thanks for review I need motivation to get working on this again. To make it work in FF28, go to options and for zoom display make sure it says "Hide Display".

This is the one and only add-on that I use in Firefox and the only reason that I still prefer Firefox over Chrome. Its simplicity to navigate through tabs swiftly is what makes this add-on so great and necessary. I really can't work without it. Great job. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (22.214.171.124-signed).
Much thanks Sam! I'm working on v2.0 which is restartless and comes with a lot more abilities. check out the screenshot in the image strip.
Essential to me, but needs history back/forward Rated 5 out of 5 stars
First of all, this extension speeds me up a lot. Now I can do a lot of the things I do with a keyboard or the GUI just with button combinations on my mouse.
But I wish it had history back and history forward. Also known as rocker gestures (Right button + Left button lets you step backwads in browser history).
Other than that, you're gonna feel slow if you don't have this installed.
Much thanks for the review.
In version 2 which I am currently working on you have more control on setting up the mouse configuration. Back/forward won't come shipped default but with the new options panel you will be able to set it up like that.
Combined options Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Good add-on but there's some features I don't want to use. For example, I need right+middle click to close tab but don't want right+left click to change my tab focus. I can't turn off one option at once, only two at the same time :(This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199-signed).
Thanks for the review. That's true I'm working on a redesign of the whole addon that solves this issue as well as better performance but have hit some roadblocks. Will get it out within 2013 first quarter I hope.

This is one of the reasons I use Firefox over Chrome, as no similar add-on can be found in Googles browser! Genius, yet so simple add-on! Strongly recommended! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52-signed).
Thanks very much Mackan! :)
I'm a big Friefox user myself because of the addons/customizability of Firefox of Chrome. It makes Firefox less secure but you just have to be careful what you install. The mozilla addon reviewers do a decent of job of check that though.
Good as described! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Comfort Browsing Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I love technology. I'm all for making my life easier through technology. Most of us have tabs/homepages already set up on Firefox. This add-on lets you scroll, create, duplicate, close and view tabs with the simple combination of mouse buttons. You can't make life or browsing any easier. Superb Add-On!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168-signed).
Thank you! :)

"double-click to create new tab" functionality which you have integrated in your addon is buggy .
Hence Pls make that functionality disabled by default.
Bug : Many Many Times , Get Triggered with just a single right click
Reply to Developer : I'm not using mousecontrol anymore , I have shifted to rotab addon
There's an option to disable that. The bloat is only 1.5kb, i think this is acceptable if it is an option as at least half the users use it.
I sincerly appreciate your input and long time dedication to use of this addon!
Blown away by this one! :) Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is a brlliant and simple add-on. It seems obvious once you use it, and boy is it nice to use. Intuitive, productive, why didn't we have this years ago!? One of the best add-ons ever.
Oh, and can I also vote for one of these for Thunderbird, please?
Thanks so much Raro. Actually another user had requested it for Thunderbird too and I am definitely going to go for that. My current challenge right now is to get the mouse clicks to work while over plugins (like flash, shockwave, etc) similar to how the addon "MouseGestures Redox" does it.
I then want to make this addon restartless. I really think that a thunderbird version shouldn't be that hard to make and will definitely try for that.

MouseControl controls me!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is hands down my favorite add-on, it speeds up my productivity and makes so much sense. The only headache I really have is that this isn't on any other browser and there are no substitutes in chrome or safari. This add-on single handily locked me to FF so much that I will wait to update my FF browser until I can confirm that MouseControl is compatible with any new version.
P.S. a thunderbird version would be appreciated also.
Haha thanks man!
I think this is perfectly compatible with thunderbird, I haven't tried but I'll test it out and update the install.rdf file. I check your profile but there's no email for me to get to you at, please send me an email if you would like a test version. :)
I recommend using a mouse gesture addon with this like FireGestures. I have mine set so Gesture down will move to end of page/text area. Gesture up will move to top of page/text area. Gesture left goes back in history. Gesture right goes forward. Only thing that FireGestures doesn't support is diagonal gestures, otherwise I would add in reload and maybe some others.

Good apps, However my mouse's middle key is a bit hard to press. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed).
You can change the middle key from the "Trigger Configuration" panel. Mouse over the link that keeps changing and it turns to "Open Interface". Click that and you can change things up.
