YOUTUBE BUTTON MESSED UP Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The unique version less dangerous seems to be ver 4,01 -
other version may contain scripts that are in confclict with opening/closing mozilla
(error message:Load: com.VidBar.DirIO is undefined // Save: com.VidBar.DirIO is undefined), and surfing images with google (gives error msg chrome://vidbar/ content/downloader.js:###) with entire surfing slowed down and some trouble when saving your favorite radio-stations and MOST OF ALL (even ver 4,01) MESSES YOUTUBE BUTTONS WITH VOLUME BUTTON HIDDEN BEHIND FULL SCREEN BUTTON!, YOUTUBE BUTTONS ARE SCRAMBLED (full screen button goes to the left over volume button) and are fixed on proper place again when disabling mediapimp....this is a pity!

Samba.

New Version is AWFUL Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I had the old version and I REALLY liked it a WHOLE LOT!!!! HOWEVER!!!! I absolutely hate that you cannot switch from having toolbar at the bottom. I like sleek. I like manageable. I like less clutter, and that audio player and bing search is DEF clutter. I LIKE having the video and screen capture buttons to the left of the URL. It used to be that I could pick whether or not I had the bar, why limit the app? Make the option available! I would not write this review if I did not think it was worth mentioning. If this is fixed, I will again use this app, but I am deleting it until it is corrected. Unacceptable, guys! Better luck next time!

Stay away from this Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Well after installing this it proceeded to do nothing. I tried to get it to listen to my favourite radio stations but for some reason it only wanted to play its partners stations. Perhaps i expected too much from this application. The thing that makes it worse is it seems I can't get rid of it now. I would advise against installing this thing.

Taugt nichts Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Great Utility add on for video download and screenshot Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Mediapimp is one of the best addon I have ever used in firefox.I can download any flash video with just a click. Also I can directly go to downloads folder from the toolbar button. There are different options to take screen shot for users. It directly save the screen shot file so we don't have to paste the pic and save it.We can also search the video in the toolbar search.
Also radio is installed in toolbar which works pretty well.
Overall a great video add on.

Great little Add-on for YouTube to Mp3 conversion Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add-on serves its purpose well. I always have issues with other YouTube to mp3 sites and this one is integrated into a toolbar so it is always there we needed. I also like the Facebook feature but I don't see the point in the Bing search, as I do not use Bing.Again, there are a few extras that I wont really take advantage of but other than that it does what it is supposed to do and convert YouTube videos to mp3 quite well. Definitely recommend.

Changing default search engine to Bing via mediapimp Rated 2 out of 5 stars

VERY ANNOYING. Without asking, this add-on did not only change the search engine in the URL box to Bing, but redirected every search request through a mediapimp server. Do they collect everything you search? Probably.

To change that nonsense back, type about:config in your URL box, search for keyword.url and add whatever you like, for example http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=

The video tools work well.

non male Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Lo uso per ora solo per le webradio, va bene, solo che non mi fa ascoltare le radio aggiunte da me. Manca un supporto online.

Then Library Empty Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Looked promising, defined several favorites. But added a couple stations that wouldn't play, like
--- http://player.radio.com/player/AOLPlayer.php?version=1.2.12258&station=12276
--- So restarted FF, Then Library was Empty -- not even any of the ones that came with it.
Bummer. Restarted a couple times, still empty.
Fix this and add "Video" screen capture, and it would be awesome.

looks promising and useful but am having the "can't find the VLC plugin" problem.
have installed the appropriate VLC plug in and although it appears in safari plugins list, it can't get it into Firefox.
Any ideas?

I'm suffering the same problem as Doug - MediaPimp can not find vlc. If I execute vlc from the command line, then it runs as expected.

Versions are:
SuSe Linux 11.3
firefox 3.6.17
MediaPimp 4.021
vlc 1.1.10

Any ideas as to what I should look at to get MediaPimp / firefox to see vlc?

(Can't really score MediaPimp until I get this working - then I'll come back.)

Thanks

Very helpful tool. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Downloads lots of videos and the screenshot tool for whole or partial websites is very helpful too.

Of course it does not download every video I would like it to download, but I am really glad to have this add on.

It'd be a great add-on if it worked! You can't configure the whole thing (there's no way to change the configuration, it doesn't respond at all), and it keeps telling me that I don't have the VLC program, which I have...). I hope the author(s) fix these errors so I can enable this add-on again!

Doesn't work w/internet radio. When I try to select a pre-defined station MP says VLC is not installed. This is untrue, I have the latest version. What's worse it provides no way (which I can find) to configure the VLC location (it's in the Application directory in any case, don't know why MP can't find it).

Hi

I have posted a new version, 4.01 that addresses this issue,
The problem is that you need both vlc AND the mozilla plugin to use it.
I have changed the warning messages to detect both variables.
And will implement a pre download screen soon

Finally a toolbar that actually has buttons that are usefull! The radio Player looks like it needs some polishing, but there arent any other addons out there that I can control my media from my browser. and the filter music presets are amazing!
I can't seem to add new playlists, but local mp3s and flvs (that i downloaded with the toolbar :O! ) seem to work well.
Thanks for the great add-on

Can't get it to play the streaming radio station I choose/add (radio station plays fine in Windows Media Player, but not in VLC or this plugin). Other stations the plugin bring with it, appear to work fine.

The option "Show Browser Toolbar Button" is NOT in version 3.4 (fresh installed, option is not there, only thing in the tab is "Toolbar Buttons" nothing else). For those not wanting a toolbar, like me, and thinking this is a good option, be prepaired to get a toolbar anyway.

Images shown on this page do not match 3.4. Appears the author uploaded a different version then intended or didn't update the information and images on this page.

Low star rating due to options not matching discription, functionality described not available and forced toolbar.
