  • 是不是需要升级和改进一下啊,解决一些BUG并支持新版火狐

  • It seems I have to open media stealer before I load the page with the video, otherwise it does not start downloading. Now it works for youku. Nevertheless it opened several windons asking for confirmation of the download. It would be nice if instead of this, one could decide decide about the download after watching the video.

  • It worked with youtube, but it downloaded the same video 10 times; also lots of windows appeared asking for confirmations of these 10 downloadings, together with some error mesages. How can I fix it?
I'm not sure I understand how the program should work. Should it look for any possibily of downloads and then start asking whether it should do the download?

Nevertheless it seems it does not download from youku.

  • 谢谢
    如果能够把网页中已经加载完的视频文件也提供下载方法就prefect了

    不然现在看了视频,觉得不错,却只能重新开始观看才能够提示下载

  • Brilliant, thanks!

Will there be an update for Firefox 3.6? I'm holding back from updating FF simply because I love this add-on so much

  • Hi,

i took this tool hoped that it will work somehow, but i dont see any activity. If i am on site with flash object, it does nothing, and i dont understand well how to use it then. Here even i did read info, i dont understand it, can someone write step by step what to do if i am on site where is flash or some diff type of media as stream? Would be very helpfull.

  • awesome!
    Thanks guys.

  • I downloaded but the file has an .xpiextension, which is not recognized by programs in my computer.
Can you tell me how to install?

    Thanks

  • Really BRILLIANT!!
Very good idea to begin with: cross-site media downloading.
Very easy user interface and fairly obvious controls.
    BUT,
there is this one issue. Whenever a file is downloaded, the extension alerts the download path for no rhyme or reason. Then the confirmation pops up. The first alert shouldn't be.
I fixed it by editing the core.js file, line 266 by commenting out the alert func.
I hope this and minor spelling mistakes are rectified in the final release.
I am willing to help with minor things if the authors wish.

  • I tested it on a website that was really hard to download. Well, this add-on allowed me to download from that website.

From what I see, it could still be improve. For some reasons I cant rename or re-download the file which I accidentally interrupted. That and if its possible, I'd like to know how fast the files are being downloaded.

Since this is still experimental, I'm looking forward to very good finished add-on. Keep up the good work!

  • I really like this add-on , it's really works .. but is it legal for use.. cause some mp3s can be stolen by this :P

  • I can't launch it by myself, and with some stuff media stealer is too fast: it stops to download something that is not finished to load. It is not working as it should.

  • Works real nice and simple. I liked it because it only adds an icon, not a disturbing big bar like others. The only thing (bad in my opinion) is that when you are downloading something from a page, you have to keep that page open until the download finishes.

The best option i found :D!!

  • real good add-on!

i struggled a bit early-on because the page i wanted to download from was already loaded, and couldnt find out how to download. when i visited the page again, though, the add-on prompted and then downloaded the stuff.

  • Awesome extension! A few minor bugs but it works great!

  • its working fine

  • This doesn't work at all. I tested Media Stealer 1.0b onto Firefox 3.0.3
