As for me, I just wanted to load a local .md file, edit it, and save. Kinda useless to edit if you can't save. I'm going back to my text editor and refresh in MarkDown Viewer extension to view.
This is marvelous - just what I have been looking for to organise my notes, and I think I will now junk Tiddlywiki ... and even drop the very nice MOU app which I had been playing with. The hint in another review to add the toolbar launch icon made a big difference - can this happen by default? My only suggestion is about links to local files. I used the standard markdown format [link text](URL). When URL is a web link this works fine. When the URL is just a local file name, this works when the saved .md file is opened separately - Firefox has a nice Markdown viewer - but does not work in the previewer.
Looks great, but it does not work with Cyrillic symbols. It escapes they!
This is perfect for my needs. Today I installed on my ISP's free web space a tiny no-database blog script (called Dropplets) which uses markdown files to create each post. I've never used markdown before, but this add-on allowed me to create my first post easily without leaving Firefox. I also like the fact that users can change the CSS colors and fonts for the preview panel.
Very nice add-on. It does not automatically add a launch icon to your toolbar, but you can do this easily with View > Toolbars > Customize.
I don't understand how to launch the editor. I see nothing in any menus to open it, neither does opening a .md file work. Firefox only asks if I want to open it in my text-editor or save it.
Not support Chinese!
Yes, currently it's the biggest bug and I'm working on to solve it...
