by Pac, 4 years agoI use uMatrix and uBlock and am a very big fan of those addons but I figured I'd throw this on top and see what happened. It doesn't seem to have done anything detrimental to any of the sites I like to commonly browse and in some cases I can see an indicator on the icon showing that it's blocking something but I am not seeing any way of showing exactly WHAT it is blocking. It would be nice if it gave more information on the little drop down menu when you click the icon as to what it is actually doing.

A factory reset of Browser Guard has resolved this issue for many users.
To do so:
Open Browser Guard
On the top right, click the 3 vertical dots
Click "Support"
Click "Factory Reset""
Wish I had seen this earlier. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why FF was suddenly so sluggish. It just happened to coincide with getting a new modem from Xfinity so thought that was somehow causing issues. It wasn't until I started disabling addons and got to MBG that everything returned to normal. I was prepared to just leave it disabled, but the above fix worked for me. Это частично помогло. Загрузка страниц всё равно занимает в 2-3 раза больше времени при включенном расширении. Надеюсь, что проблема будет исправлена.
I've been using the extension for several years. About a month ago, the extension began to eriously slow down page loading. I reset the extension to factory settings. This partially helped. Page loading still takes 2-3 times longer with the extension enabled. Recommend by I.T.Employees and Contractors working for Several Browsers I have used since: Microsoft Bing,Edge,Google,Chrome,etc. On the side, cell or in person locally, Techs/Advisor to a person male/female mentioned thy use it BC best Browser. Independent, don't gather and sell Personal Info: all Volunteers Techies,I.t. Techs, Etc. Most work for Manufactures of Competitors,several I mentioned above. No, Absolutely Not! I do not work for or receive compensation or solicited for my comments/review. Age 80, been in internet business and employee and ownership of same before 1977. Major and occupation, small buisness: LLB,MBA,CPA, CFP, etc.
Just added it to Mozilla Firefox Windows Professional 10. Installed and used no problems since 1986-1990 initial Windows Hardware and Operating Systems, few problems, little slower loading, but no major problems. Offer most if not all options Bing and the other Browsers and MS Operating Systems and Servers.

Web pages take up to 10 - 20 seconds to land.
I am a premium member of Malwarebytes for Windows Desktop.
If it does not run properly again by next week, I will have to look for an alternative.Developer response

Se correggerete il problema la reinstallerò di nuovo visto che fa egregiamente il suo lavoro....
Aggiornamento: dopo aver seguito le istruzioni e aver resettato l'estensione, il problema sembra essere risolto. :)Developer response

posted 16 days agoNotifications should be occuring once per site, per tab to indicate a malicious url was blocked.
If you are seeing these notifications a lot, this is probably evidence of an infection on your machine that Browser Guard is protecting you from.
