- Rated 1 out of 5by Dex Luther, 4 months agoThis extension is garbage. Constantly nags about adding permissions for (Pirate) sites I've never heard of and will never use.
Meanwhile the list of anime this junk can't sync properly continues to grow (One place says Anime X is 24 episodes, the other says it's two 12 episode seasons), and the author does nothing about it.
Instead of the app periodically downloading a list of corrections and/or the corrections being made in the plugin, you have to manually go to the show on CrunchyRoll (or a sketchy pirate site you allowed random permissions for) and press the button to change things manually. Then do it again over and over for each show that doesn't sync properly.Developer response
posted 4 months agoWe are not happy about the permissions handling either, but we don't know of a better way to do it unfortunately.
We have automatic season splitting handling. But it is a manual process to add the handling of that. What anime is so I can look into it?
We discontinued doing the centralised mappings/corrections for crunchyroll, because it is by far the messiest page. The splits of the seasons make 0 sense. It is quite a pain to keep track of the series as every country has a different selection and you have to hop in a VPN all the time. They already changed their identifiers in such a way, that we had to do everything from the beginning 4 times. It is quite a manual process as specially with crunchyroll where even the users do not understand it, there were a lot of wrong corrections requests that we had to decline all the time. So we stopped doing it. Crunchyroll is probably one of the worse tracking pages we have and you are right about that. It is a lot of work so we only keep track of the corrections for a small list of websites.
These Problems can not easily be solved. So thank you that you at least gave the extension a try. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12765055, 4 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by jmhj, 5 months agoGreat add-on. What I haven't found so far is a way to have MAL auto-update an anime entry, rather than prompting with a pop-up every time.
If this isn't a feature, it would be nice to have it added in future. If it is, evidently I'm blind - let me know how to enforce it and I'll update the review to 5*.
Edit: NVM - looks like I had enabled the correct setting, but it didn't take effect straight away. Changed to 5* - Rated 4 out of 5by Fabian, 5 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Sky, 7 months agoThis is the sole reason why I am watching anime. It provides such easy acess to a lot of information, automatic tracking, a lot of good links, and so much more. I am so happy with this
