So useful that I am afraid to update Firefox - since it is a "legacy" add on... Any suggestions?
This extension does what it says it does.
For the record, this did work for me on Firefox version 55, and also works on Firefox version 56.
However, I would like them to make it so this will work on Firefox 57 and higher. Thank you.
I appreciate a lot this addon.
With the previous waterfow version it worked like a charm but not now...
Anu suggestions ????
We will need someone to fork this addon since it was not updated after 2011.
Very useful but the development seems to be ceased. Pity.
The only copy url/html add-on in the whole repository that works with 45! Come on developers, delete your old add-ons!
This is probably the first add-on I installed, and I can't use a browser without it. Yeah, the settings need to be manually exported when you set up a new browser, but no biggie.
A great addon, that unfortunately misses an option to export settings.
I agree with 'oingk': "Great exactly what I needed." ;)
And "it would be nice if the "Make Link" button in the context menu would automatically" use the first entry.
I love this app. I especially like the ability to write my own "capture codes".
But of late it has been playing up. It works once, then clicking the button just reveals a "Configure" entry. I can wake it up by going to setting and disabling and theb re-enabling the app.
Not sure that the right-click option has ever worked.
I suspect something broken in Chrome. I have reported this behaviour to support.
Currently I'm using a similar addon which is easier to use as it has more %variables% and not dependent on context for %titles% etc. It's called CoLT [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/colt/]
This addon deserves a review because it was released few months before CoLT was on mozilla, and also 10kb smaller in size. Hope to see future updates.
Great exactly what I needed.
One suggestion would be: For those who like me want only one type of link to be created (in my case HTML), and delete the other ones, it would be nice if the "Make Link" button in the context menu would automatically create the link you want without needing the click one more time in order to choose the obvious option.
And thanks for making this.
Make Link helps me a lot for various reasons such as posting an e-article to my blog, email/text URL with its title, inserting info online with its source...
I found a website pointing out that this original version isn't compatible with making
The webowner modified this original version to fix this matter and distributes at the following page:
Shadow912's Mozilla/Firefox (Japanese ver.)
Make Link is a great extension! But having a small issue on Windows platform.
if copy to clipboard when there are newlines in the format textbox,
then newlines become '\n' istead of '/r/n'.
e.g. format textbox:
Thus I've made a patch and modified version package of this extension.
xpi package: http://mozilla-ext-ja.way-nifty.com/blog/files/make_link-10.12-fx-mod1.xpi
patch file: http://mozilla-ext-ja.way-nifty.com/blog/files/patch-make_link-10.12.txt

Make Link has, for years, provided me exactly the functionality I need quite often, nothing more, nothing less. Perfect; thanks!!
This is by far my most used extension. I install them sparingly, but could not do what I do without it. I'm an MVP in some forums and spend a lot of time pointing Newbies to answers - Make link saves the day, every day.
Doesn't work with Fx 4.0b4pre (Minefield)
Link tutor needed
i need help it will not work for me!
There is a help document included with the extension. Try clicking the \'Help\' button when defining a link type.
Make Link works well for pre-formatting quotes in BB, and for other things, but I'm finding that it does not allow more than one New Defined Link. Whenever I add a new definition, it deletes the previous ones. That's kind of a drag because I'd like to have some definitions to do list format, quote format, and so on.
Another user reported this bug to me. It is now fixed. I would have fixed it sooner, but I didn't see the comments talking about this bug until after a user contacted me directly.
I can't define multiple citation rules.
Any workaround ?
This has really saved my so many clicks, it is ridiculous. Fantasticly simple and useful.
1) It would be cool if I could have definable keystrokes for each format. For example CTRL-SHIFT-K for HTML etc. This would help in not having to use the mouse so much.
2) When hovering over a link Make Link should copy the link and not the title of the current page.
Thank you so much. Even if you don't find the time to add this.
One of the extensions I use the most: a must have if you post links in forums, blogs, e-mails... anywhere!
Flexible and fast. Excellent.
One of my favourite-add-ons. It makes posting links in forums so much easier. Great work!
very excellent work
Does exactly what it claims.
