Found the Hide Option Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A few minutes ago I complained that I couldn't find the option to hide the "A" icon at the left of the address bar. I found it. It's in an unexpected place, on the "about:addons" page. This is now a 5-star extension. Thanks for creating it.

stopped working Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This was working great until now. Font went TINY when I deleated an annoying addon and can't find a way to make this add on work now.

try uninstalling and reinstalling my addon

Have you tried uninstalling my add-on and then reinstalling it?

Your issue looks like it was caused by that annoying addon, why the two stars?

Can't customize the font size makes it close to useless Rated 1 out of 5 stars

People have complained about this in previous reviews and the author suggests there is a way, but never says how.
I cannot see any way to change the font size nor can I see this toggle button that is spoken of, even if I set it to "show" in preferences and restart

Whoa! This is FABULOUS!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

For the first time EVER, I can read the address bar -- without squinting!!! Yeah!!! Yippee!!! Yahoo!!! Thank you!!!

For those interested, this add-on works in Pale Moon as well as in Firefox. The only thing is that in Pale Moon, I don't find the toggle icon in the Customize corral. But ... I'm so happy that I DON'T CARE!!!!!

I've wanted this for YEARS!!!!!

Does Not Seem to Work with FF 38 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I believe it worked with all prior releases

Nice big & bold address bar letters! Great. But how to see full address is the question? five big stars though. WhoMe

You can use the included toggle on/off button found in the Firefox customize menu

If the address url is super long. You can always go into Firefox `Customize` view option, and drag the gray icon with the letter 'A' into your top toolbar. Then with that button you can toggle on and off the font-size of the address url bar. Hope that helps!

Thanks to the dev, almost all is right again ... v1.2.0 is the version to get Rated 5 out of 5 stars

UPDATE ... v1.2.0 fixed the default state ... hooray! I've checked, however, and the font-size toggle button is still forced to display. I don't mind it, in case some URL's go long & don't feel like mouse-hovering, but some users here seem to be picky about their limited toolbar real-estate. For me, though, it's back to a 5-star extension. :-)

XrXrXr is right ... v1.1.8 released on 23-Dec-13 has really botched this extension, and v1.1.9 didn't fix it. Address bar used to be on by default, but now needs to be turned on with each session (and doesn't retain the setting). If you accidentally upgraded or installed, remove the latest version, then scroll down on this page to view all versions to obtain v1.1.7, which worked great!

please update the addon

try updating to latest 1.2.0 and addon will be ON by default again :)

Useful, but not polished. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

In this version the add-on is off by default. Also the toggle button is annoying. Other than these two grips, this is a great add-on

Those issues have been addressed in version 1.3.1

Version 1.3.1 addresses those issues:

- Added option to hide the toggle button (requires restart)
- Also you can now remove the toggle button manually in the Customize panel
- If you manually remove the toggle button in the Customize panel it will not come back like previous versions.

Cheers!

I really hate the menubar toggle. How can I get the font size bigger and get rid of the button at the same time?

Simple, trouble-free. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

"Recommended for large size monitors," but it's also nice to increase the standard address-field-font on this 10" screen, which is tiny without this add-on.

Sure, with a larger font and a smaller screen, most URLs won't fit in the address bar anymore, but a little mousing will show you the rest of the URL, if necessary. Or one click to toggle back to the original little font.

Thanks.

Great idea, but poor implementation, and here is why I cannot use it:

- The toggle button cannot be removed, if it's removed, it just reappears when Firefox restarts.

- You cannot change the font however you want, you're stuck with a preset size and weight.

A great addtion to my extensions repertoire! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was looking for an extension to preview font changes which will save me having to use the Options | Content menu every time and came across "Make Address Bar Font Size Bigger" quite by accident.

It works as described and I'm very happy I don't have to squint anymore especially when browsing at night.

Also, I like the addition of a toolbar button to toggle the font size on and off and the fact that it places itself on the left hand side of the navigation bar and not on the right.

Definitely recommended to anyone who with poor eyesight.

I have been using this add-on for some time now,but tonite I ran CCleaner, and suddenly Make Address Bar Font Size Bigger has stopped working.I even tried uninstalling/reinstalling it without luck.My browser theme for Firefox also vanished, but I could get THAT back by reselecting it. Add-on removes Facial Wrinkles Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Title refers to the fact that one does not need to squint to see the IMPORTANT, sometimes cryptic characters contained within the Address bar.
I have very low vision, so the improvements are immediate. Now, if the rest of the important scripts could be displayed in fonts larger than the # 6 that Microsoft, et al seem to think are suitable. Keep up the good work.
ps. I use the,"Accessibility" features, but even they do not do the job needed or parts of pages are hidden if large fonts are used.

Does EXACTLY what it says it does. How can you argue with that? Also, I really like this concept. I constantly zoom in on pages, but that doesn't help with the address bar or menus or other items. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who wants to use modern high resolution screens to make things look BETTER rather than smaller.
