Great extension! I'd really like to see it suggest my tags as I type, but otherwise it's a very nice---and much faster than the popup bookmarklet.
An excellent plugin if you're running an old machine or are a lot of hops away from Ma.gnolia and cachefly, as it's very fast to use.
Unfortunately, updating existing bookmarks doesn't work for some reason, the login/API key dialogs are confusing and it doesn't work in FF3.0 yet.
If the author is listening, I'd like to get in touch to fix these problems.
A great little tool, and surprisingly more streamlined and prettier than ma.gnolia's own bookmarklet. The only thing it's missing is support for sending a bookmark to a group.
It seems it stopped working with the last Firefox update - at least the button is gone and I see no way to enable it. If you would like some help - hit me up. My nick is "till" on ma.gnolia.
Since this is basically like using Ma.gnolia's "Mini Marker" bookmarklet, this extension should at least have all of that functionality. The only current benefit of using the extension over the bookmarklet is that it's faster.
* to suggest my tags as I type
* "Add to Group" functionality
And to make it better than the Ma.gnolia bookmarklet, it would be awesome if you suggested tags to me -- similar to del.icio.us.
Include those two main things (to make it at least as useful as the Mini Marker bookmarklet) and I'll use this full-time. Until then, it's more convenient (if a little slower) to use the bookmarklet.
Adding a bookmark works, but what then?
This extension doesn't sync Firefox bookmarks with ma.gnolia's so a person still has to log in to ma.gnolia to access their bookmarks.
Thanks for the effort but this extension falls short of usable.
I only see drawbacks to using this add-on. My sole reason for trying this out was to have a ma.gnolia icon on the toolbar to use while bookmarking. But the icon for this add-on is markedly different than the standard ma.gnolia icon. Please revert to the original icon without the pasty green 'frame'.
Why is the tagging pop-up box so obtrusive and oversized? Bookmarking/tagging with this add-on becomes distracting, instead of a seamless process. More importantly why must I manually select "close" after tagging and saving; the box should disappear by default after saving a tag.
I've been waiting for someone to whip together a Ma.gnolia extension for Firefox. Precisely what I've been looking for; thanks!
