You know. . .there is so much censorship going on these days on and off of the web. . .it's GOOD that we have at least this one group standing in the gap online, fighting it off. These people are the real internet hero's. . . All hail the Mafiaafirers! Ah, I see you answer questions. . . This is "new" - and not very exciting - on my Google search:"In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at ChillingEffects.org." So. . .will it go around this? It looks like if you just file a complaint - whether it's valid or not - they yank it down before they even know if an offense has been committed. Gee, that's fair. . .not at all!
Just installed in FF 7.0.1 (on XP) but nothing in the U.K. Am I doing something wrong or should I just forget this add on?
Hope it works on my Linux machine!
Google changed their code so we have to change our code, will be rolling out an update this week, just keep it installed and it should start working soon ;)
Sorry for the delay.
Just discovered this, really nice idea. any chance you could get it working for Firefox 8. thanks
I'm running ubuntu 10.10 if that makes any difference.
Seems like Google updated their code so the present version of Gee! No Evil! is not working with it.
We are working on fixing this and the next update should be compatible with Google's new code.
I'm very interested with this plug-in. But I'm not too sure on how it works. Could somebody maybe place a comment explaining a little more on how this plug-in works. I would be thankful.. thx
Thanks for the review! It's very simple, simply install the plugin and forget about it! The next time you visit Google to search it will automatically help you with the search terms. There are many articles about it on Google, simply type in "mafiaafire gee no evil" and I think the first result is the one from TorrentFreak - it's a good article and should help ya.
Please update for Firefox 7
Is NOT Working under HTTPS Gooogl please maked !!!
Will look into it!
What can I say? You said it all.
Thanks for the review none the less!
Very COOL!!! :) Please keep up the AWESOME Work Guys! We really need more people that think the way these developers do.
An update should roll out next week which should bring in some more domains ;)
Please join us on ilovemafiaafire.net if we can help you more or you want to chat with us.
It would make for a great inside story...Then Google can play the villian and the heroine and everyone wins.
I mean, they win everyone. By the way, i'm a fan of mediafire which was recently added to Google's blacklist and I'm hoping this add-on has been updated to include that site. Thanks.
~Running firefox 3.6.18 because Google hasn't updated their toolbar for Firefox 5 and Firefox 4 seems to have disappeared from cyberspace.
Haha, no! We do not work for Google!
We wish we did though, a LOT of talent in that company!
I do not think Google would take the chance to play both sides though, too much to risk when the MAFIAA have so many politicians in their pocket just waiting for an excuse.
MediaFire might be added soon, or something new...the idea is to "fill" nearly every alphabet with *new* services not just the famous ones - thus Rapidshare too might be removed to add something else that starts with "R".
Torrent and bittorrent will never be removed without a court order.
FF5 is a major security release thats why there is no support for 4.
Check the G toolbar again, it works on my FF5 installation.
Thanks for the review!
Keep up the good work guys!!
Will do! Thanks!
This works on the google website but not in the search bar that comes with FF. I'm on FF 5 Beta 7.
Thank you so much for this product though.
Sorry, but this was designed only to work on the website, as far as we know we cannot make something like this to work from the URL bar for FF or Chrome. And (like us) you are one of the few who know and use the URL bar for searching...
Thanks for the review!
Works perfectly in 4.0.1. The only thing it did change is it reset my google preferences back to default which took a moment to change back and still working perfectly.
Thanks for the review!
It was not supposed to change any of your preferences, as it's a possible bugcan you come to our forum and give us some details please so we can see if others can possibly be effected by this?
Works as advertised.
Thanks for taking the time to review it!
