Good idea Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work. Neither in the page, or below it.

Useful but not perfect.
I'd like it to have the option "replace href and title but not text". And to prevent performance overhead on long pages, the ability to expand urls one at a time on mouse hover, instead of page load.
A very handy addon anyway.

I can confirm version 0.5.1 works for me on Firefox 21.0/Windows.

Works fine with Firefox 20 (except replacing on the site) but unfortunately NOT with SeaMonkey 2.17.

Not working. So I uninstalled it. But I will encourage such add-dons...

New Version Does Not Work Entirely Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The new version does not appear to replace shortened links on a webpage. However it will still show you their path at the bottom. Please fix!

the newest version doesn't work...please fix that!

edit: I've installed version 0.4.4 as suggested below and this version really works. I'll stick with that one until 0.5.1 works!

(I won't vote more than 1 star, until it's fixed, too)

Due to a bug in this add-on, if a page contains a shortened URL, the page's memory will not be freed when closed until you visit another page that contains a shortened URL. As a result, this add-on can cause Firefox to use significantly more memory than normal. See
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=712733 for details.

Very useful extension! Thanks for developing. Extra-plus for different settings: I can decide how to view the short link.

But: Please add support for Twitter! Links are shown short there and are directed to http://t.co/...

Cool but a fork of your add-on has added more services :

Maybe you could work together and help humanity by adding "adf.ly" to the list. ;)

Good idea but... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I liked the idea of lengthening URLs but it really should be something more like you toggle it( probably through a button.) As-is it is all or nothing. It either is on or it off... The idea is good but this is an immediate uninstall because of the lack of flexibility.

Inoffizielles Update für Firefox 4 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

@Gary: I doubt that can be fixed, because due to the nature on how Long URL Please works. There are just to many links on that page you linked, so the script will have to look at each script and compare it to a long matching pattern, and this takes some time. With 10, 20 or 50 links this is no problem, with around 400-ish links, it is a problem.
