- by What???, 2 months agoRated 1 out of 5Doesn't work. My IP address shows where I am. This extension doesn't hide this fact. If the developers mentioned this I wouldn't give it one star.
- by Earl, 4 months agoRated 1 out of 5What a waste of time. Did not work for me.? Continuing search for something that actually works and won't waste my time.

- by Denitsa, 8 months agoRated 1 out of 5I don't usually write negative reviews, but this addon has broken my nerves in recent weeks. It doesn't work at all, the icon is constantly disabled and doesn't "turn on" and there's no way to turn it on - I don't know why Firefox allowed such an addon to be published. I tried everything from the "documentation", read all the comments, reinstalled my browser several times - it is still disabled.

https://browserleaks.com/geo gives my real location - by 00231, 9 months agoRated 1 out of 5Does not work, I have tinkered with the settings and tried everything (such as toggling fixed location, reinstalling, restarting browser and device, deleting geocache and browser cache) but according to whatsmyip's approx location tool it can still discover my exact location, despite setting this geospoofer elsewhere. I'm also using a VPN set to the same location I set this to test it (since the site is finding my location by other means that I thought this would solve) - it has no effect. Is there anywhere we can request support, and not just bug reports? I see I'm not alone.
Using Firefox 79.0 on Windows 10. - by Firefox user 13954888, 9 months agoRated 1 out of 5Looks good unfortunately didn't work at all. Nor did the only other firefox location addon. I just want it to stop saying i live somewhere i don't. Ugh.

- by Firefox user 12990002, 2 years agoRated 1 out of 5Well it works, but be nice to have the gps lat and log boxes to add the location there. Despite moving the location on the map it will put you somewhere else nearby, so takes some practice to get it right
Update
Well in firefox windows 10 im still getting asked to allow, even though its set to fixed, and its giving real location, this is on main pc, laptop is ok?Developer response
posted 2 years agoThanks for the feedback! If you think that this is a bug, can you please report it in https://github.com/chatziko/location-guard/issues, with enough information to have it fixed? - by Nico, 3 years agoRated 1 out of 5Sorry is this is firefoxs fault but I funny enough would like to "fake" my real location on my PC because it actually does not have any GPS. And the modern web is all about smartphones and GPS so there is a app I actually can't use because of no location send. But even the example fails with "Geolocation error: Unknown error acquiring position." When I set my location and then click the location button. And yes I have given it permission.

I'm not sure what issue you are experiencing, but note that Location Guard is not meant to protect against IP-based geolocation, but instead to protect the location exposed via javascript. You can find more information about this here:

posted 3 years agoHello, vrv.co is almost certainly using your IP to detect your country.
Location Guard is not _meant_ to protect against that (no browser extention can), but instead to protect the location exposed via javascript. You can find more information about this here:
https://github.com/chatziko/location-guard/#why-some-websites-detect-my-location-although-i-use-location-guard- by Firefox user 12312529, 3 years agoRated 1 out of 5It doesn't work on 57.0.1 but I can't see an advise on this regard. I can't even see the icon anywhere. Demo seems to work but obviously is a fake demo not a real one.

posted 3 years agoHello and thanks for your report.
The extension should work on 57.0.1. The icon appears _only_ when a page asks for your location. Try this demo:
https://html5demos.com/geo/
If you don't see an icon after opening the above page, please report the bug here:
https://github.com/chatziko/location-guard/issues
Thanks!
