Amazing Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wow. Such a straight-forward idea and excellent execution.
I would also like to request Hebrew translation added.

If only Hyperwords was a woman... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm a fan of Firefox, but Firefox+Hyperwords makes browsing a joy! I can't stop abusing the translation functions. I'm not afraid to wander into Japanese and Chinese pages anymore, heck it even helps me learn other languages. If there could be Hebrew support that would be terrific. I also suggest improving the menu-customization feature to allow reordering and perhaps gray out deselected items, something to give me a better preview of what my menu will look like.

Great but Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Excellent little add-on and will be indispensable. But, guys, please make it a little clearer that this is a Mac OS add-on and that a version for Windows is still in development. It works, but not faultlessly, in Windows and I am hoping you are rushing ahead so that Windows will be supported soon.

Casperion

Hi Casperion. I am sorry you do not like Hyperwords on Windows. It is the exact same version as on Mac. Please email us to tell us what you would like to fix/change at contact@hyperwords.net

wow Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I downloaded it, not really knowing how it would be, but hell, this is AWESOME!!
Really a recommendation to everyone. They should ask money for this, this thing is really unbelievable. Everything you could ever ask for quick look-ups.
You see a number? Select it, and you can convert it to different currencies, weights, volumes, speeds, distances, temperature,...
See something you would like to have? It can instantly search for you on amazon, ebay, ...
See something in a language you don't understand? They just translate it for you.
The presentation of everything is verry nice as well. Everything is shown instantly, no waiting for webpages or anything.
If I could, I would give this more then a 10.

I want to marry this add-on and have its babies Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hyperwords is without doubt my favourite add-on ever. In fact, it means there are a few I can now dump, cause Hyperwords does the same thing better, and in a more convenient fashion.

Many thanks!

Essential Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've used Hyperwords for the better part of a year, and the instant access to extended information is second nature to me now.

This is not a shady company. A long list of internet/computing superstars are part of the Hyperwords project:

Annoying upgrade, reset all settings Not yet rated

Dont do it.

Really annoying upgrade. it adds to the general context menu EVERYTHING, even when the previous settings said other wise.
it put so much crap in, the firefox context menu becomes so blotted that my screen is not enough to contain it..
argg!

it also completly resets user's preferences regarding carfulll edited context menu.
took me almost 10 minutes of work to get it back to the less annoying previous stage, and then I simply gave up and uninstaller it.

Not worth my time.

Sorry there were problems with the upgrade, this has since been fixed, with version 3.6.

Talk about great... this what Einstein would use on his firefox! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

By far, this is the most outstanding time saving tool I've ever used. So much so I have barely made any online comments where I have to sign up just to share my joy! ...serious. However, due to the lack of options to tweak the menu placement and positioning of listened items, I give it a standing acclamation of 8. I'd go lower, but that'd take away the great efficacy of the product and/or the purpose it serves.

I'd highly recommend Hyperwords to anyone who spends more or has lass than 10mins to spend on Firefox. ...heh, that's pretty much everyone!

Hyperwords is a must-have, for me... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hyperwords is a must-have, for me. I use it everyday, multiple times. A great time saver.

Love it.

Indispensable Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love being able to jump from an address to a map in Google maps with a quick highlight and two keystrokes, and instantaneously search Wikipedia for anything I'm reading about.

Hyperwords is a major reason I don't use IE anymore.

Nice, but... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good add-on, but I want it to pop the menu only if selected, then right-clicked. Please make this an option.

Nice Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Only given it an 8 as the default is that the menu comes up whenever you select text. I've changed it to select text and press F2.

Very useful.

very usefull Rated 5 out of 5 stars

amazing.
neat how one small menu can get you all the info you need on a website.
not to mention the social tools(Email, blog,Ect).
I like having all these resources at my fingertips without treking all over the net.
oh, and the on page translation is great.

If it sounds like spyware... Not yet rated

Shame on the developers:

Hyperwords measures what commands are used, not what words or sites its used on. This is to make sure we can continue to optimize the menu and to get fair affiliate deals. There is no private data sent at all.

Brillinat add on Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm using it for a long time and enjoying every minute of it. My favorites are Email immediately, Maps and translations. It just works well and saves me a lot of hassle.

Overrated Not yet rated

First of all, it's a spyware. It sends click info to the company each time you use it. Second of all, this isn't anything revolutionary. Opera has had this for years, fully customizable by the user. There are also several Firefox extensions which let you customize word searches, such as SmartSearch.

Sorry you don't like Hyperwords.

As far as Opera is concerned, it is a great browser, but the customizability is mostly about what searches you can add, it does not have many of the commands Hyperwords features (such as email immediately or copy with link) nor the same interface, such as in-menu and in-page results.

And yes, I agree, there are many Firefox extensions you can customize, if there are some that suits you better then all that means is that we have to work harder to improve Hyperwords :-)

Google interface broken Not yet rated

It only searches AdWords sites in ten searches I did comparing AdWords to the main Google search page yours was 10% accurate.

I don't know if you earn a royalty from google for using AdWords but your interface is terrible. I would have thpoght you would have tested ir.

Highlight & click convenience Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Addon implements very convenient features. One simply highlights text on a web page and the addon's context menu opens, making it simple to google or wp a phrase or open a link that wasn't clickable because it lacked markup.

A small revolution Rated 5 out of 5 stars

When I first checked out Hyperwords, I was indifferent and thinking "another of those unnecessary extensions for the trash bin". As it turns out, Hyperwords is so much more than the traditional context search tool we've gotten to know.
It makes every word on every page interactive, not just links. Select any text and choose one of the numerous commands.
THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF A REVOLUTION FOR TEXT COMMUNICATION.
