Needs a link title option Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This works wonderfully and quickly, but it uses the extracted URL as the anchor (link title). It needs to have the option of also extracting the original link title, and then displaying that instead of the raw URL in the resulting links list.

Needs a link counter. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

i would like to suggest a link counter for this addon, it would really help if it gave a total number of links that were extracted.

thanks for the great addon!

Nice addon + some feature propositions... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very nice addon. It would be really nice if...

1. it would only perform its magic on a selection and not the entire page
2. it had an option not to autosort the links
3. it came with an icon button instead of a text button

Please add these vital features Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Excellent and indispensable add-on! But it very much needs at least the first 3 additional features I list below to get my 5 stars. Please, please add these features and then I will gladly contribute $:

1. Remember the last specified filter.

2. Filter history dropdown box so you can easily go back to previous filters.

3. Option for case-sensitivity in the filter.

4. Customizable Keyboard shortcut to automatically run with the last filter and/or option to have single mouse click on status bar icon automatically run the last filter.

5. Regexp filter expressions

Thanks

This is, or should I say was, an awesome tool. For some reason, the "options" button has turned gray/faded! And the "Link" down in the right hand corner has disappeared, what's up with that? I am having a "dead end" experience, concerning where to go for help on this issue!

Useful but needs better filters Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This is a nice utility and thank to the developer who has donated it. But I have to agree with those who remarked how difficult it was to find out how to use it. I expected a button somewhere after I had installed the utility and had to search the web to find a page that explained that the link was in the bottom right of the screen. Not very intuitive. Couldn't you just add a sentence to the installation description in the FF add-ons list?

I think it would be helpful if you got the name or title of the link as well as the URL. If you want to use the link in one of your own pages you have to go through the chore of clicking on each link to get the name from the target page which you could just as easily do from the original page. I am therefore not quite sure of the benefit of extracting solely the urls.

My main reason for installing this utility was to be able to extract links from a Google search page. What I want to do is take a list of keywords that I have embedded in the index page of the site I am developing, feed each one into Google (or some other search engine) in turn and then grab the links from the first page that comes up. This gives you the top-ranking links for that keyword. I can then view these pages, do keyword analyses on each of them and that way get a good picture of the competition. It is very arduous doing all this manually and I thought that this utility might help. However, you get a lot of junk links mixed up with useful ones. One way round this would be to have an option that excludes all query links (ie, containing a question mark). Alternatively you might include a negative filter option, ie, exclude all links that contain this string.

There is an on-line utility that works this way, http://www.webmaster-a.com/link-extractor-internal.php, but like Links Gopher it does not provide the title of the link which limits it usefulness.

It could be that somewhere out there on the web there is a utility that does just what I want. There usually is. But I just haven't found it yet.

OMG! You HAVE to install this! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I can't believe I have been using Firefox for so many years and I JUST NOW use this addon! It's freaking awesome! I was looking for something that would copy every link on a page (To paste on this website, http://tubenow.net/link-checker) and this works better than I thought it would. It freaking finds every stinking link possible! I love this addon!

Thanks, is a great add-on. Can you add an option to "extract all links from all open tabs" automatically? no just one by one. and please update this add-on for Firefox 3.5!

As for 'all tabs,' I will consider that for a future release.

Please update this add-on for Firefox 3.5! Thanks!

I already have

Weeks ago I submitted (and resubmitted) a new version of Link Gopher to Mozilla (publication requires their approval), and I haven't heard back in a week. They must be busy with all the other add-ons for FF 3.5.

No Sorting Please Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This add-on is great. Fast. One-click. Loads into a new tab. Does what it says. My only qualm is that I don't want my list sorted and de-duped... all the time. It's a fantastic feature but could you please give a second option to just extract links as they are. (That's got to be easier right?) I would use this all the time and you'd have my undying gratitude. Thanks for the excellent Add-On.

Easier?

Well, it's easier to do nothing new than implement a new feature. Several people have asked, so perhaps you could explain how this feature is more helpful than looking at the original page.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Old version! The home page mentions a version 1.3 which is not here and there is no contact information for the author. His blog has no feedback method, either. Link Gopher has the potential ot be really helpful if the links were segregated by type, similar to the early builds of Paessler Site Inspector. Yes, it does take quite a bit of time to process. I don't know if the speed boost of FF 3.5 would hel pin this regard. It can load by modifying the maxversion but 3.5 has broken so many of the extensions I use that I'm back to 3.0.11 until updates have percolated.

Sorry, you are wrong

The Link Gopher home page has my email at the bottom, and my blog www.oooninja.com likewise has my email at the bottom.

I've been waiting ~5 days for Mozilla to approve version 1.3. I think you can get it if you sign in with an account.

Not bad, and useful at what it does. However, it's lacking some features that would make it better. Ideally, it could become as powerful as the "link list" feature/plugin in Maxthon (http://mdlist.free.fr/bilder/Capture2003-10-10-01.38.402003-10-10-16.36.41.png)

Very poor documentation. I couldn't figure out how it worked for the longest time. Gave me way too many links. Needs to work for selected stuff only.
