About this Add-on
Once the addon is installed you can enable/disable it by right-clicking or clicking on the disco ball icon in the add-on bar. A silver disco ball means the addon is disabled while a disco ball with a red stop symbol means it is active. When active all clipboard selections are sent to the translation service so switch off once finished with you translations. Clicking on the Enable/Disable button activates/deactivates the translation process.
Once active it will translate from any language into your browser default language e.g. Spanish if you use the Spanish version of Firefox. You can change the translation target language by changing the settings on the embedded translation page - you can do this by enabling translation and then clicking on Edit. Your changes should persist across sessions.
You can show the active web translation page by clicking on the Edit button. All translation preferences are set on the embedded translation page so if you want to translate to.
The last 5 translations is also listed in the Add-on panel but this can be modified in the preferences panel.
I developed this addon using Jetpack. It scrapes a translation page loaded in a hidden panel to get a translation instead of using an API - Google has no minimum free number of calls to its service using the API so this workaround may contribute something new.
