it doesn't work on my OS X El Capitan Firefox installation Rated 1 out of 5 stars
It worked at installation time, but few days after the graph page shows only connections segment, no bubble with sites name, no triangles, only an intricate web of lines. Not useful. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).
Review of Lightbeam for Firefox Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I had difficulty with giving the star rating. I think that could be improved to be more obvious as to how to accomplish that.
Your "instructions" ("guidelines" ?) do not say what I can do about the 253 Third Party entries I got with just 3 sites visited. Is there some setting where I can automatically delete all of them easily or not collect them in the first place? I can find Amazon or other sites or any of their products without their help. I once edited my Cookies from several hundred down to about 100. But that took 2 or 3 days. What would be really useful would be an agency identifier like "Amazon", "Walmart", etc. or some way to block these data miners.

Great!!Neat tool. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is pretty cool. Shows how the sites track us in real time with cool animations. Has a bit of a delay to update but I'm imagining it has to fetch a lot of data. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).
It seemed awesome until I reopened Firefox Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I use NoScript and this is basically a visual version of that which is why I installed it... except my visuals have been broken since I closed the browser after I first installed it. (See here: http://imgur.com/3HAhVtm)
I have found numerous threads regarding the graphics not working, and it seems that either 1) the issue is not repeatable by the devs or 2) I need to "reset" all of Firefox -- and I'm completely uninterested in this idea. I generally reinstall my whole system from scratch 1-2 times a year, and if this plugin cannot work 'out of the box' (as in, more than just when I originally install it), I'm no longer interested. But, I give it two stars because it's still interesting to see all the third party cookies lined up in an easy-to-read fashion. I'd highly recommend this to anyone not familiar with how to regulate what goes on in your web browsing (if NoScript is too daunting), since the non-visual list is still quite interesting, and it doesn't require me pilfering through NoScript's settings to tweak.
If the devs could get the visuals to work, I'd give it three thumbs up.
Edit: Since this review, I have found that resetting Lightbeam makes things works again. The problem is, it rarely keeps working for more than a few hours on end. So anything I do is pretty much pointless. Is there a file I can save and replace when this occurs?
Very informative Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Utilities like this are useful to awaken people to the digital tracks they leave. Someday, maybe, we will have the ability, tools, and laws to allow us to control who is able to track us. For now, using tools like Lightbeam may encourage people to use other protective features of Firefox as well as add-ons and extensions sucvh as NoScript, Privacy Badger, Ghostery, Privacy Settings, and HTTPS Everywhere to try to add a level of control. Highly recommended. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).
For me, This is a Great Add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I am an adult dealing with ADHD my entire life. With the advent of monetization of the internet my productivity nose dived. Lightbeam and specifically its "tracking protection" feature has enabled me to control the distractions which had become omnipresent throughout all web pages I regularly visited for research purposes. It has effectively eliminated all the mini-movies hawking products I had evinced an interest in both directly and inadvertently. I realize this will not be appreciated by social networks but I had to cut them out a long time ago once I realized how they had begun monopolizing my life. Lightbeam allows me to take advantage of the best aspects of the web without the decidedly negative aspect of my being continuously distracted by ads which were specifically targeted towards things I had previously found interesting. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).

It works - at last Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Finally I got it working even under Linux. Very comprehensive to the price of a slightly bloated look, but seems quite self-explaining and the visualiszation is still awesome. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
