Works perfectly on Pale Moon v24.5.0, after ditching Firefox v29.
Unfortunately it does no longer with Firefox 29
Like it. Use it. Have a small request.
With Firefox's new button that appears on the left to disable flash, on a page with flash, an arrow is supposed to appear to right of it. But with the bookmark star, there's no dividing line, then the button to disable flash, then the absent arrow, then the button for information on the site, then the url. This only appears on sites with flash, (like youtube etc.); otherwise it's just the star and then the url... which looks so nice by the way!
Don't know if it's an easy thing to adjust. Still, thanks!
thank you so much. I keep pressing the star button by accident. there are just too many buttons in that area.... the star, drop down arrow, and the refresh button. apparently everyone at mozilla are sharp clickers.
if poosible make addon to move toolbar button inside addressbar.
давно нечто подобное искал)
SoapyHamHocks has confirmed that in the next LeftSideStar version the Urlbar Bookmark Star button may be styled. Here's my attempted to style it and provide some addition fixes has well for LeftSideStar 1.3.1 :
SoapyHamHocks keep up the good work on maintaining this great extension.
and would be better if bookmark star didnt replace favicons
Soapy: I came across LeftSideStar for Firefox while looking for someting else: An add-on that would move the Home Button to the left of the address bar, as in earlier Firefox versions -- or somewhere else in the middle or left third of the screen, even, say, next to the Help menu pull-down (where there is a lot of wasted white (or green) space anyway.
Q: Is there any way LeftSideStar could be adapted to move the Home Button to the left or elsewhere? That would be killer!
For that matter, I have never understoof why browser and other other interface designers don't simply allow users a choice as to where to place or whethere to display interface components in general. Of course, there is a bit of this with Firefox, but not a lot. User choice all the way baby!
Firefox allows you to move toolbar buttons to pretty much any location on a toolbar. You can right click on a toolbar, click customize, then move the home button to a location you like.
such a simple and yet very useful add-on! thanks!
Excellent and simple.
Was looking for it, thanks))
thought have one bug - "Edit bookmark" dialog positioning..
It is on the left if Firefox window is NOT near left side of the monitor
