Thank God I found this add-on! Been looking all-over the Internet for it!

This is an update to my Nov 10 review. It turns out that you can add sites to a block list on the fly. The developer graciously wrote in an email: "You can add sites to a block set using Firefox's context menu
(right-click on the web page)." That does the trick.

Amazing add-on! Now I might actually get my dissertation written instead of camping out on Facebook all day!

This is an extremely useful piece of software -- an elegant way to tie Odysseus to the mast.

While the software is entirely logical to set up, it does take a bit of effort. I suspect that many of the users who give one star reviews simply failed to configure things properly.

One feature request: Might it be possible to add sites that I wish to block to Block Sets even when they're "greyed out"?

Firstly, I signed up for an account just so I could write a positive review for Leechblock. I originally downloaded it on my PC when I was having a hard time getting through a huge project I needed to finish (took a few months). I found myself procrastinating every possible way, and this program was EXACTLY what I needed to control it, since it is made for people who procrastinate and not just people who want to block sites for other reasons (eg. parental control).

After I switched to a Mac I was sad to lose the program. I initially searched through the firefox add-ons without specificially searching for Leechblock and it didn't come up. I even did a google search for a firefox site blocker and it still didn't come up. I only found it when I was looking through a forum and someone recommended it) and I was so excited to be reminded of it. I downloaded it right away and I'm thrilled to see that it's the same great program I had before, and it's compatible with the latest version of Firefox.

This is an outstanding add-on, perfect for anyone who wastes more time than they should on the internet while they should be working.

Definitely comes in handy when I want to block certain sites from being seen by the children in my house. Great add-on!

Awesome and handy application Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Alright, after inital problems I got a fast reply on my email from the developer and figured what didn't work for me.

Initially, entering specific times in "LeechBlock Options" seemed to do anything for me.
I tried several different settings to solve the problem, but didn't see that I changed the option when to block sides from "within time periods OR after time limit" to ""within time periods AND after time limit" without actual entering the time limit.

After setting this option to "OR", respectively entering a time limit with the "AND" option, eventuelly worked for me.

My review:

+ This is a great addon that helps keeping me of my time-wasters.
+ I love the possibilty of the "AND" option that allows you to take a break of your work, waste some time on your favourite timewasters and continues blocking after this time limit is reached.
+ The program offers plenty of possibilties to configure the Block Sets according to your specific needs.
+ Fast reply on email from the developer

Wish list:

- It would be great to have a visual key that indicates there are just 5 or 2 minutes left. The little countdown in the lower right corner of the screen is handy but doesn't warn that you're soon run out of time.

This is a wonderful program. However, I do wish there was a way to scroll down. I can't access some of the features because my screen is too small, and I use Ubuntu. So I can't drag the thing up and out of sight just so I can access the config.

Otherwise, I love it.

a fantastic app, it would be even better if there was a way you could lock it permanently so there was no way of getting back in

Genius Addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Amazing Tool, should really be a recommended add-on.

Flexible, powerful, easy to use.

If only I could do this with all the apps on my computer, not just websites :).

This is perhaps the best add-on I've ever added on. It is generally simple to use and does what it advertises. This is an immediate boost to productivity.

Can you add this Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Can you add a link or button when you get a blocked page that lets you go to the website? It's annoying to have to go into the options and disable the features just in case you want to visit that webpage, for whatever reason.

Great tool, I love it and I need it so badly! Some functions are not very clear, at least for me. The "Select when to block" option... The OR and AND seem to be mixed up, aren't they? But that's a tiny detail compared to all the functions. I love not to be able to change the options when sites are blocked. Very useful.
