not effortless but works ok Rated 3 out of 5 stars

this addon works good to instantly kill any website matching the ones entered in the blacklist, the sad part about this addon is the process could be made so much more simply and seamless for the user. for example add a popunder button inside the navigation bar similar to the STAR for adding favorites but instead would add sites to the kill list.Currently, not only are burdened with copying and pasting it into the list, its a real pain to go digging for it under options> addon> then scrolling through the list off extensions in the addon manager to then finally hit options button on the addon entry. that's a lot of clicks just to get to the list. more surprising yet, is this is the only addon of its kind which is alarming considering how popunders are on the rise.

Still works in FF34 and kicking... A must have.

Updating prior review Rated 2 out of 5 stars

After figuring out how to keep block ups from happening by adding what I want blocked to the list, I typed in something to block and since then whenever I go to certain websites Mozilla will completely close out. I get no crash report so I don't know why is it whenever I type something it will close me out. For example, I'm looking to make homemade toothpaste. I typed in 'calcium carbonate & xylitol and will click on a website only to have Mozilla close. I have Career Builder job updates and couldn't go to any of them b/c Mozilla will close me out. I went to open Mozilla in safe mode and went to the websites that had previously closed me out and was able to get to them with no problems. So I got out of the safe mode and went to my add-ons and went down the list to see which add-on was causing the problem and sure enough it's this one. Since I can't figure out what I typed that's causing Mozilla to close out w/o having to delete what I previously blocked I have to disable this add on which I'm not too happy about.

Great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's excellent!

Those who write that it doesn't work just please click on options and add keywords for titles of pop ups you get at visited websites. So simple...

FINALLY A TRUE LIVEJASMIN KILLER!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I surf a lot of questionable sites gathering info and other criteria. Could never find a proper solution for the dreaded LiveJasmin pop-ups. Finally after reading many forums I stumbled upon someone talking about P.U.K. I use this along with Ad Block Plus and I have yet to see one pop-up of any kind, Thank God. I wish I would have installed this a long time ago.

Does The Job Well Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've tried a few other "blockers" and though the one I currently use works well sometimes I'm left with lots of blank pages to close.

This addon does the closing as well and works perfectly.

The only suggestion for improvement is what others have mentioned. That is show the blocked sites in a list format. Easier to see and add.

Other than that very minor thing this is just what I was looking for.

This Works Perfectly! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A truly great Add-On that at long last means I no longer have to keep closing a lot of annoying Pop-Unders every time I go on certain sites! Highly Recommended!
Thank you Pierros Arkoudakos

I have had a bunch of pop-unders... Gone in 60 seconds!

At first i gave it 5 stars but after spending time with it i realized that this addon was closing firefox unexpectedly in several sites that didn't have a specific blocked word in the 30 first characters. When i was disabling it, the sites were working perfectly. This was happening of course when i was having one tab opened. So this addon was closing the tab and because it was one tab opened it was closing the whole browser. I repeat that the sites that i was visiting didn't have a restricted word.

Display of Filter List Too Small Rated 3 out of 5 stars

A problem with this add-on is that the Filter List display is too small.

Once more than a few filters are in the list you can't view them all and you are unable to review all of your filters in the list and any problematic filters can't be identified.

The display of the filter list badly needs to be changed so we can see everything in our filter list

Simple & Effective Rated 5 out of 5 stars

There's a favorite website of mine, except that it constantly pops up javascript windows at me. No more. Thanks to killjasmin, it's been put back in its place. Thanks for a great, easy-to-use add-on.

I especially like the feature where you simply add a URL string to a pre-set "kill" list to deal with your particular pop-up window that's been driving you crazy.

This works exceptionally well. I was pleasantly surprised to find this useful little tool!

This works flawlessly for my old powerPC/Firefox 3.20 combo. I'm able to nix Netflix, insurance PUs, and pretty much any PU keyword I add in the execution pane.

Really Works! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Change the name! Seriously "P.U.K" = pop under killer........
It would be right at the top with ad-block in minutes!
It could even be intergrated into FF! Devs change the name!

This add-on used to be perfect; it did what it's supposed to do just fine.

It still does what it's supposed to do, but the reason why I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 stars is because now there is a KillJasmin option in the context menu when you right click on a web page. There should be an option to take that menu off in the options, as it just takes up more room in the context menu when I don't need it there.

Fantastic Addon with ability to be a top Firefox extension Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This add-on has proven to be very effective against 95% of the annoying livejasmin pop-under windows I have come across. And I appreciate that very very much and thank you for this. But I do not understand how to effectively add more sites to it. Is the ' l ' character (typed between sites added to be filtered) an Upper Case i, or Lower Case L, or number 1, or something else? Does it have spaces between it and the filtered sites or is it typed all together? I see no clear example or explanation of how to add sites to be filtered to this extension. It would be nice to see such an example or instruction on the killjasmin addon page or on a new tab opened after it is installed and / or updated giving instruction as many other addons do.

This add-on has the potential of becoming wildly popular and highly touted as THE POP UNDER KILLER!!! - immediately a 5 star extension worthy of being added permanently to Firefox or just outright paying for! That is IF it were more polished and user friendly, with improvements similar to if not exactly like the following:

1. When going to options to add a site to kill, it would be much more user friendly if there was a blank ADD FILTER BAR to type in or paste to it with an add button at the end of it. When you click on that add button, it asks for the filter name of the string you just added or pasted: For example type 'livejasmin' and press enter. It then adds the name of the new filter alphabetically to a list of other filters within a scrolling box placed under the "ADD FILTER BAR". And of course built in ability to highlight any of those filters and easily remove selected one(s) for whatever reason. Another sweet option would be the ability of right clicking (when not disabled by the site) on an offending pop under and choosing in the context menu to: ADD SITE TO KILLJASMIN. in which it automatically adds that pop-under URL to a filter in the background and then asks for a filter name in a pop-up box with a blank space in which I type it in press enter and the pop-up box disappears while it adds the new filter to the list and then kills the pop-under..

2. The 30 characters to check a windows URL has been effective, but what happens when livejasmin and other site pop-under creators learn of this and add 31 or more characters to render this extension useless (is that the reason that it works 95% of the time and not 100% for me now?) What about adding the option of adding * wildcards (asterisks before and after site name in URL ( for example: http://*livejasmin* or just *livejasmin* is typed into the blank ADD FILTER BAR) meaning anything in a url (doesn't matter if its 30 characters or 1000 characters) that contains what is typed between those asterisks will result in a pop-under with that string of characters being killed. therefore closing the 31 or more character or other loopholes that sites could use to bypass this extension in its current build.

With these type of user friendly improvements to this much needed extension added, this pop-under killer would be 5 star worthy and worth paying for to have! And of course a huge recommendation of having it altered to do all types of pop-ups and pop-unders added to firefox's automated popup defense it currently runs making it a delight to browse again.

Does the job perfectly, these pop-unders had been driving me mad (and crashing my firefox) but this has stopped that issue.
