Meet the Khmer SBBIC Spelling Checker Developer

Why was Khmer SBBIC Spelling Checker created?

The tools existed already - I just wanted to see a version of a Khmer spelling checker that was more consistently updated available on the web. It's easy to make mistakes in typing, so a tool like this can help both native and non-native speakers of Khmer put up higher quality work on the web.

What's next for Khmer SBBIC Spelling Checker

We hope to add some rules that will automatically allow for noun pre-words to be linked with their verb partners and be detected as spelled correctly.

Who is sungkhum?

The Society for Better Books in Cambodia exists to help facilitate the creation of better books in the Khmer language.

We seek to do this by partnering with others to pursue computer technology that will make it easier to produce quality books and other publications in the Khmer language.

Currently we are working on improving Khmer spelling checkers and in the future look to create a grammar checker for the Khmer language
