Meet the Keyfixer Developer

Why was Keyfixer created?

This add-on sprung into existence due to my dissatisfaction with the default Mac key bindings. I frequently switch between Mac, Linux, and Windows systems, and didn't like having to constantly relearn the key bindings for each platform. I had discovered the original version of KeyFixer by Jim Mendenhall of Starry Hope back in April 2007. This version contained a custom installer and patched Firefox directly, making it break every time Firefox upgraded. Starting with version 0.3, I made KeyFixer into a regular Mozilla Add-on, so that it would upgrade seemlessly.

What's next for Keyfixer

This plugin has been working with essentially no changes since May 2009 and is mostly in background maintenance mode.
