Keyfixer patches the key bindings for Mac OS X users of Firefox and Thunderbird to match the key bindings of Windows
About this Add-on
The Keyfixer Extension substitutes the platformHTMLBindings.xml file (within the toolkit.jar chrome file) with a new version that is functionally the same as the equivalent Windows version, except it also maps the 'accel' key (i.e., Command) to every binding that uses the 'Control' key. This could cause compatibility issues with other extensions that also modify this file, although there are no known issues at this time.
In this bug, TextAreas and InputFields would disappear.
This has been resolved by getting a new baseline for the platformHTMLBindings.xml file, which included a bindToUntrustedContent="true" annotation on the keybindings for TextAreas and InputFields.
