This is a great, simply, easy to use plugin but it didn't get upgrade. So i re-packaged it for Firefox 4+

Simple and fast, but one problem: Ctrl-Alt-I doesn't create and copy a short link as it's supposed to.

I love the simplicity of this add-on, but it occasionally fails to create a shortened URL. This has bit me before when I had shortened one URL, attempted to shorten another one, and then unwittingly pasted the first when expecting the second. Could the button be made to clear the clipboard whether or not a new URL is created? Perhaps sending an empty string to the clipboard before attempting to create a new shortened URL.

That's what i needed, great tool ^^

Apparently, this needs to be updated for Firefox 3.5.1. Hope this is done soon. I really like this add-on.

Works great most of the time Rated 4 out of 5 stars

A must have especially for microbloggers (aka tweeters). Once in a while the toolbar button is ineffective but the context menu entry works. Also, URLs with + signs are not supported with through this add-on but work with the official bookmarklet.

I was using the TinyURL creator add-on but the author hasn't updated it for FF3.5. This Creator is a good substitute -- with a less obtrusive notification rather than pop-up that you have to click on.

If you want to remove the iS icon from your toolbar right-click on it, choose "Customise..." and drag the iS icon into the "Customise Toolbar" window.

Was using the TinyURL extension up until FF 3.5 but grew tired of waiting for updates to handle new FF versions.

Switched to this extension when I upgraded to FF 3.5 and have been very happy - it does exactly what I need: Provide a toolbar icon that allows me, via one click, to create a shortened URL and copy to clipboard. I also like the confirmation via the momentary pop-up window above the service tray in WinXP.

The URL shortener is actually shorter than tinyurl so that is also a plus. Keep up with the latest FF versions and you will have a user for life.

The simplicity of this app is brilliant. I love how it gives you a Growl-like notification to indicate the copy was successful - not intrusive at all.
Thanks for a great extension.

useful, clear, succinct and works with FF3.5rc3.
feature request: can we get an option to have a Status Bar icon which assigns an URL and copies to clipboard at the click of a button?

Worked great for a few days, then the toolbar button vanished. Contextual menu didn't work either. Reinstalled a couple of times, to no avail. Firefox says it's installed, but I can't actually use it.

One Click (and press enter) and you've got it!

The toolbar button referred to by Dan Kelly is functioning for me (Toolbars>Customize...drag iS button to toolbar).

I like that after creating the link, iS confirms so in a drop-down window, but I'd rather not have to click/press enter to close that window.

The keyboard shortcut does not work for me either. Small problem though in an otherwise fully functional and sleek add-on... one more tiny thing - the red toolbar button is the only color on my toolbar. That's not cool.

Good, but throws JS errors Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Overall a pretty good plug-in. It has a bit too much chrome for me, I turned off the toolbar button and just use the context menu. Unfortunately, this causes the plug-in to throw Javascript errors on every page load. (Line 20 of listener.js expects isgdcreator-toolbar-button to always be there without checking that it might be hidden.) Thanks!

Super cool! I love that it automatically copies to the clipboard.

One problem: The "Cntl+Alt+I" shortcut doesn't work for me.

One recommendation: I'd love to have a toolbar button that I could click to activate the plugin - i.e. no need to go into the menu and then down to the menu item.
