Excellent little add-on, does exactly what it's supposed to. It would be nice if a future version could also use the v.gd shortening service as well.
In response to the developer's reply v.gd is basically a more secure version of is.gd. This is from the v.gd FAQ: "v.gd displays a link preview page by default whenever somebody visits one of its shortened URLs, but is.gd doesn't (by default it sends people straight to the link's destination). For this reason v.gd can be seen as a slightly safer option and is handy for users who always want to know where a link goes before clicking it."
Hey, I just checked out v.gd. It is owned by is.gd operator as well. BTW, I didn't get the differences between them (except the onc character in the domain). Could you tell me more why you could like to use v.gd?
