It mimics safari's reader functionality. extend it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Please extend iReader safari's reader functionality by mimicking TidyRead: https://addons.mozilla.org/nl/firefox/addon/tidyread/

Talk to the developer of TidyRead to extend iReader safari's reader functionality by priority (1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7)
1 TidyRead can work in Smart Mode that means it automatically extracts and displays the article if TidyRead believe it is an article page with confidence. So you don't need to manually click a button or link to activate the TidyRead.

2 Furthermore you can customize TidyRead with disallow and allow list.

3 TidyRead supports Right to Left (RTL) languages and displays well.

4 TidyRead does it best to keep the original article layout, and intelligently extracts the content images, videos and other objects.

5 All the image and script files are inside the add-on package and it doesn't send out any information to other outside servers.

6 Starting from version 0.3.0, TidyRead works with NoScript. Now NoScript users can run TidyRead.

7 Starting from version 03.5, TidyRead automates the "next page". When scrolling near the end of the page, TidyRead detects and renders the next page, so you need not to click the next page anymore.

this would be the best readability addon, but lacks refinements.

I'm on a Mac. the "address bar" button is stretched and doesn't have a transparent (white) background. The settings config window cannot be closed intuitively, but only with the escape key.

I give a three because it tends to print only the first page with the rest being blank.
Otherwise, I love this extension. Use it to read articles on the web.

It's a wonderful addon, but it's yet to be compatible with firefox 4, I'm using firefox 4b9.

Thanks a lot anyway.

When iReader icon appears in the address bar, it changes the height of the address bar (make bigger, taller). This is a bug; using Firefox 4 Beta 8 on 64bit Windows 7.

Color and settings needs upgrade Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's great, but needs work.
It would be great if I can change the background color and maybe a font color, because the grey is more suitable for eyes. It's hard to read monochrome page.
And another one - to apply settings that changed while iReader is on, I need to turn in off and when on again. Why don't make settings applying "on the go", while I'm in iReader-mode-on, without restart?

Good, but needs work Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This is a potentially great add-on, but it needs further work:

* As noted by PCWorld, when printing, it only prints the first page. That's a fairly obvious problem that should have been fixed before release.

* iReader permits selecting a default font family but, so far as I can tell, does not permit selecting font size. Ironically, iReader does permit zooming in or out, but does not permit selecting a default. This also should be an easy fix.

* When scrolling, the text breaks up until scrolling stops rather than scrolling smoothly. Since this does not occur when scrolling within Firefox, it clearly is a problem associated with iReader.

I really like the features of this addon. I have just one feature request: one thing I really like in the Reader addon is the fact that I can choose a softer tone for my article backgrounds. Reading from a white background can still be tiresome rather quickly.

Other than that: this addon should be integrated with Firefox!

Been using this on Google Chrome and I was hoping that it would be available on Firefox as well, while I'm trying out the new Firefox 4 beta. This is an awesome extension that makes reading a lot easier without being hard to use. I love it!

Very useful, especially as I'm approaching the great big "40"-bump. This is even handier than the "Readability" add-on, much simpler to use as well. And the original site is still there if you decide you want to check out some of the clutter & such after you're finished reading. Excellent!

Great but Kim . . . Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a great addon. Highly recommend. I first learned of it from the Kim Komando free download news letter. She recommends it but it doesn't work on HER pages! And talk about clutter!

the only addon I've found in this family of addons that handles images and right to left documents perfectly Ok. A million thanks to the developer.

This seems to work well on the sites I frequent. I wouldn't expect it to work on Google Reader. I could be wrong, but I don't know how that would even be possible.

The only thing that I think needs some work is the Twitter functionality. It just open my Twitter page in a new tab, even if I already have it open in another. It doesn't shorten the url either. Maybe a popup would be better.

But that doesn't detract from the Reader functionality, which works perfectly. Thanks!
