Великолепный ридер, всё на высшем уровне. Детальная кастомизация.
So far the nicest reader for Firefox, still a bit young so I am sure it will get better with time.
great - only problem - needs to "install anyway" in Firefox 11.0 .. would be great to update, because it works flawlessly
Best website reading extension on FF and Chrome. Much much faster than Readability.
1. Add Helvetica neue font, or allow to use own fonts;
2. Allow to change background color, as well as a night reading mode;
3. Fix prints-only-first page issue.
Best application for reading. One bug tho. If you print multipaged article it only prints first page! Rest is empty. At least this is how it ''works'' for printing to PDF using any PDF printing app.
Recently I was diagnosed with nascent cataracts, and for a long time I have found reading books a real strain, but now even reading online is becoming problematic. So this is the best add-on I've come across in a long time, as it can sift out the article you are trying to read and make it presentable and clutter-free. It also increases the font-size automatically. Now on my desktop it is useful, but on my netbook it is essential.
Most websites, even modest ones, have a navigation bar or two which takes up to a third of the screen, blogs are often less than half the screen-width, and often I find that the text is too small, and needs to be adjusted, which sometimes pushes the text or other items off-screen. The not-so-modest sites often have distracting flash gizmos trying to catch/distract your attention and are a thorough nuisance to read.
With iReader all these problems are overcome, it essentially puts up a lightbox with the article in it, and darkens out the rest. It is presently (Jan 2012) somewhat limited, and I can think of several features that not only could, but should be added, like the ability to choose the font and set the size, but nevetherless this simple add-on has helped me so much I was moved to write about it.
این افزونه خیلی عالیه!
This is great. It will save my eyes on that small print on my high-res widescreen lappy. One thing though, there needs to be an option to turn off the menu deally that pops up when you hover over the bottom of the page, really annoying since I'll probably never use it...
Its interface is definitely better than Readability, and the page recognition is nice. But, there a quite a few bugs that need working out. Some pictures are reformatted incorrectly for example. Also, sometimes text charts lose their borders. The same type of chart can either have a border or not, it's rather hit and miss. Also, some text ads may get through and be displayed at the side taking up several lines creating massive blank spaces. Overall though, I'd stick with this add on and see if the bugs get fixed.
I checked the bugs page in the add on description and it seems the developer stopped replying to the bugs and features after July 2010. Not sure what that means yet, but I've emailed the developer, Samabox, to see if they are still actively developing the add on.
Nice extencion. Like it very much, but it has 1 small bug - it's height more than adress bar height, so when icon appear adress bar height increases, after icon hiding adress bar height decreases.
awesome! thanks for creating this and thanks for making it streamlined! very useful and I no longer have to use Safari, for just that one, single feature :)
This is the best reader plugin. A lot of people say Readability is good, but in order to use that one you have to sign up for a username and password (complications, complications).
With iReader, you just have to install and start using — and that is awesome! No complications are built into this awesome extension.
Please update your compatibility with many other sites, as do Readability and Readable, then it would be perfect. Thanks a lot
I tested the Reader and Readability add-ons, but they were slow and clumsy compared to iReader. I don't have enough test data to really say anything about compatiblitiy with web pages, but since iReader wins so much in usability I'm not sure it would be worth having any other even if they turned out to be compatible with more pages.
Спасибо, давно искал, очень удобно. Надеюсь оптимизируете до блеска!
I like it very much, but sometimes while readability can define an article, iReader can't. Hope the that version will have improvement.
It's a great add-on, but unfortunately conflicts with evernote, when both extension are enabled, either one will not work entirely.
супер, оч удобная вещь
ff 7.0.1, iR icon is never respnsive
Apparently it's not compatible with NoScript (My favorite add-on), so though I would like to use this add-on I haven't been able to yet -_-
A very feature-rich and useful add-on, my compliments! Doesn't print more than one page in FF 7.0.1 and Mac Lion, though.
Ich benutze den immer auf heise.de ist absolut Spitze!
...since FF 6, it just doesn't work at all. The iReader icon doesn't even appear in the address bar. This extension should be removed for mozilla add-ons site.
I've been looking for this for a loooong time. Usually, I just save the text and read it with fbreader.
Anyone that really wants to get informed on the web needs this extension. Great work.
