iReader is better than Firefox's stock reader, because: It's way more customizable. It's faster. Best of all, it has a keyboard shortcut (was that so hard, Firefox?). Thanks for a great add-on!
Outdated and it doesn't work well.
Hope to have a more beautiful icon
I've been using it for many years already, and I find it the best tool to make an article readable. As a previous commenter I have a problem if I use the iReader on a page, close iReader and then try to use it again - it doesn't work, I need to reload the page to make it work again. I hope and pray that it's fixed. And also in general I would appreciate if not only Chrome but this Firefox add-on is maintained. Thanks a lot MhdHejazi!
It works for the most part but after you close the iReader portion and click on the iReader icon again, nothing happens. You have to refresh the page to be able to pull up the iReader view of the article the 2nd time, and the 3rd time, and so on.
This little indie addon produces an output far far ahead of mainstream services like pocket, readability and instapaper.
Its most notable advantage is its smart display and placement of images.
What it lacks:
The option to change the background color to any color the user wishes; add this feature and your addon will be the most advanced reader on the planet.
Excellent reader,and still works great.
Works. Very useful in reading.
Best of all addons in mozilla store. This addons keeps me by using firefox, otherwise i will use chrome. Thank you. Are you IT specialist or what?
I loved it the first time I used it but I've got a suggestion. Can you make the width of the reading pane customizable? (for example I wished that this pane can take up to 90% of the available width). The reason is that I wanna take advantage of my wide screen to make scrolling as less as possible.
Thanks for all your efforts
best reader i've tried. it is attractive to look at and easy to read. perfect!
Good App, better than "READER" app
On my Kindle/Android I use the "eye-glass" feature all the time to bring articles and webpages into an easily readable form. Now this add-on offers exactly the same functionality to the lap/desktop in Firefox. And... it works GREAT! Very happy to come across this app! I'm actually surprised how well it serves its purpose as well as being free of problems/bugs. Just works, no fuss. Thank you to the developer.
thanks for addon
can you add Multi-page articles for firefox too
Yes! This add-on is very useful!
Really dislike that this add-on makes me restart my browser for what is likely little more than a userscript. Hope to see this fixed in future versions. Otherwise seems to work well.
It's almost perfect! In my netbook it's impossible to read anything without one of this addons, and this is simply the best so far. Thank you
(One minor bug: If you turn off the reader and then want to enable it again, it does nothing at all. This solves easily reloading the page, so it's not a big issue)
Can it custom Article Width and Margin to "px" ?
Text color and background color can not be set...
Not working with Firefix 13.0.1
without ireader add-on ,I used to depend mostly on pictures on website's for information because the matter is usually either tiny or cluttered with ads to read, but with ireader installed in my firefox I really started enjoying reading in a browser
MUST HAVE ADD-ON
I just started using this - it looks fantastic. At first I thought it wouldn't make a whole lot of difference, but this actually makes it a lot easier to read longer texts. I recommend using it with F.lux (Google it).
ireader is my favorite add-on, it is as I have discovered a great idea. Lets you clear all the advertisement and other distractors from your reading page and allows you to read in a very comfortable format....
The desing of its graphics is my favorite, it is minimalist and great to look at...
