I love this plugin but I have the same problem that booksXYZ has. I have managed to overcome this problem by disabling/enabling internotes, but the enable/disable function changes back to "enable" every time I open a new tab, so my suggestion is that internote remembers my enable/disable preference between tabs and sessions.
I really like this product, and was using it a lot. Then my browser started slowing down. I really noticed it when I was trying to edit text in on-line forms (like this feedback form). When I hit CTRL+tab to select words, it was glacial. Then I started noticing that it was slow when I was switching among tabs, and selecting links, etc.
I disabled it. Hope you can fix it soon, I really like the product.
I've been using Internote for about a year, never had any kind of problem with slowdowns or memory. Naturally, sticky notes are of a transient nature and used as reminders--after a while when I no longer need one, it gets deleted. I've never exceeded a few dozen, and don't use them as a "system of documentation". They're just like paper sticky notes... except I don't "misplace" them. Highly recommended for the purpose for which it was designed.
After installing internote. I liked it a lot, despite the ability to print the page with a note on it. Or to be able to select which notes to print from the internote control panel.
Then after awhile I started to notice my firefox and computer in general being really slow =)
So I checked the Mem Usage by ff process in the windows task manager. Surprisingly instead of firefox being 50/60 Mb it was 300Mb =) So I disabled the internote and it (ff) went back to its "fit" shape.
Thats why its a 3.
Nice try though.
This add-on could be a great tool and it is, if you use it with an few notes.
But... using it with about a hundred notes, it slows down your system, even changing the actual tab takes several seconds, each(!!!) added letter the same.
This is the most pratical of sticky notes extensions available!
As an update to a much earlier post... I have grown to love this add-on even more with time, granting it a full 5-stars! It's incompatibility with FF3 is my primary deterent to upgrading from FF2. I can't live without this one! Thanks again, T.H., but please update for FF3 soon. We beg of you!
