log.txt bug is anoying - pls fix this asap Rated 3 out of 5 stars

if they can fix the blowing up "log.txt" file bug it would be great.
This addon fills endlessly the log.txt (file can be 30 GB and more) which is not easy to find (e.g. with TuneUP Utilities)

Excellent add-on that has recently hit a couple of speed-bumps... two things have happened.

1) The Host File Server has changed from: http://imagehost-grabber.com/hostf.xml to: http://imagehost-grabber.eu/hostf.xml
2) With the automatic signing of AMO hosted add-ons (the .1-signed thing) the add-on was, in effect, reset to some really old version of hostf.xml

So, defunct Host File Server address and an old hostf.xml file. The solution is to manually change the Host File Server to the newer address. Under the ImageHost Grabber menu pick: 'Host File Editor' and click the: 'Modify hostf servers' button.

Use: 'Add Host File Server' to add: http://imagehost-grabber.eu/hostf.xml
Use: 'Delete Host File Server' to remove: http://imagehost-grabber.com/hostf.xml
Click: 'Update File' to confirm the changes.
Exit the Host File Servers panel.
Finally, click: 'Update from online Host File' to get the latest hostf.xml file.

There is a third thing. As these files are held within the add-on itself, making these changes 'breaks' the signing. So, at some point in the future the add-on will be flagged as being invalid. Only the add-on author will be able to fix this (and, indeed, will need to fix it for the add-on to work wherever it is hosted). The active versions of the two files: hostf_servers.xml, and hostf.xml, really need to be held inside the profile folder but outside of the add-on's extension folder.

There is some initial discussion of this here: http://imagehost-grabber.eu/index.php?topic=3099.0

I really like this adds on, but since I reinstalled my system and lost IHG beta that I had on my drive I can't get it to works on website that usually had no issues at all. Little bit disapointed..

This user has a previous review of this add-on.

El mejor!, pero... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nice add

Awesome! But would love to have.... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is the best imagehost image downloader there is hands down. A few features I'd like to see added in would be firstly, a button on the download window that clears everything. Currently you must right-click and select it from the menu.

Second thing that would be nice is a faster autoclose window. Currently it just kind of hangs for a few seconds before it closes. This is useless. If it closed as soon as it finished the downloads, that would be much better.

Thirdly, it would be nice if there was some kind of blacklist for sites or files to NEVER download. As they always come up as errors.

Lastly, I'd like to see an option to auto-dismiss files that can't download. If there is an error, the window just sits there until you manually go in to clear the error downloads and then close it yourself.

Simply Awesome. This add-on is designed for easy image gallery downloading. I installed it and started using it immediately. No complicated setups or options to mess with. A1 in my book. Using it daily!

Very good, very useful, unique.
I got a problem because often I get an error message for each picture in the list and saying "request failed, to many retries" though I limit the number of retries to 1 and the interval to 25"

I absolutely love ImageHost Grabber. I use it all the time and works flawlessly. While it's great for image hosts, I would love to see an add-on that downloads all full-size images from Arles Image Webpage Creator-type galleries.

Thank you, Ish, for the amazing ImageHost Grabber!!!

Absolutely Excellent - I would be lost without this. (Mac User) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Even on my Mac, this works perfectly. It's easily the best, most useful add-on ever created for Firefox. The addition that it automatically updates it's host preferences is superb. I just cannot recommend it highly enough. Amazing add-on. Truly outstanding piece of coding.

My favourite image downloader, easily

Best image downloader I've ever used for FireFox! Better than Shelve, Down them all, flashgot, etc. If you want to download all pics represented on web page, but don't want just the "thumbnail" (smaller version) images, you want the larger images that they link to. This is the add-on for you. That is what it has done for me so far. Very similar to Down-them-all add-on but better.
