"Immobile" toolbar button is an annoyance Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Yes it's true what reviewer ander already said below. I wanted to adjust urlbar/search bar widths, and THIS buttion was always in the way. So I had to uninstall (!) the add-on to be able to get rid of the icon in my Navigation Bar again. Why, if there is one thing I hate, it's whenever buttons/icons seem to be put in concrete.
Oh, especially for @James , reviewer from last year's December: you CAN do somethig about it. If the tool ever messes up your setting of images displayed/hidden once uninstalled, look at option permissions.default.image in about:config. A "2" will mean it's disabled. Changing it to a "1" will allow images to get displayed again. Voila!

Toolbar button can be moved now

Fixed in the new version

Для медленного интернета Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Don't Get This Add On Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Once you install this you might end up having to keep it installed because once you uninstall it all images you see on the browser will not show up. So you either have to reinstall FF(if you're going that route I suggest getting the MozBackup add on to save your history, bookmarks, etc)or reinstall this app to get the images back and search for a way to uninstall this without having to reinstall FF.

Great, with one annoyance Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This does just what it says—very helpful! I like its simplicity—no options to fuss over, no presumptuous keyboard shortcuts, no auto-reloading of pages. (There are times when you don't want to reload immediately, and pressing F5 is easy enough.)

The only annoyance is that, unlike every other FF extension I've ever used over 20-odd years, this one won't let you move its toolbar button. From what I know about coding, the developer must've deliberately implemented this.

Why? People like to organize their toolbars—e.g. to put their most-used buttons closer to center, to group related buttons. Perhaps our esteemed developer has a control issue or two?

Was done for compatibility... as mentioned in the new description. But I do like your comment "our esteemed developer has a control issue or two" :p

Ineffective on Wikipedia and Google Rated 2 out of 5 stars

While this extension works on many sites, it fails on two of the biggest ones, Wikipedia and Google.

Added support for images embedded in data

The functionality you are looking for has been added... you can read more about why I left it out earlier in the description of the new version

Won't move, won't disable/delete & only works on some sites... Rated 2 out of 5 stars

As has been noted in other reviews:

This extension's icon won't allow itself to be moved from the right most end of the tool bar thus pushing the dreadful menu icon out of the corner where it belongs.

I stopped using it because it wouldn't work on so many sites. Once in a while when a site doesn't have images I'll discover that it was accidentally turned on.

My personal gripe:
This extension won't uninstall, even if I reinstall it and try again.

AVOID this extension at all costs! There are other extensions that do the same thing with fewer headaches!

Cant say why you were unable to uninstall... that has nothing to do with the extension. However you can try the new version where rest of the issues mentioned have been fixed

What a disaster Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Tried it, didn't work on several sites [huffingtonpost etc.], so uninstalled. Then the fun began. FF wouldn't show images at all. So had to uninstall it, and painstakingly reinstall all my extensions. ARG!

The "several sites" issue has been fixed now. Apologies that you had to reinstall all your extensions... However just switching back to "Show Images" mode before uninstalling would have done the trick

I don't know why this addon is labeled a Featured addon. You can not move the button. It just sticks up there. Why is this un-standard addon a Featured addon?
I have been redownloading it every now and then hoping that this "sticking" thing will be fixed but it is not.
I suggest this alternative:

Few websites dodging this addon Rated 4 out of 5 stars

1) Many thanks for this superb addon. It's simple yet very effective.
2) It was working completely fine until I updated my FF to 38.0.5. Now I noticed that images such as .png, .svg on Wikipedia are loaded even when addon is enabled. Similarly, thumbnails on Google and DuckDuckgo search are also visible. What's more, there are other websites like this(http://www.androidpit.com/best-apps-for-monitoring-system-performance-on-your-android-device) which loaded all those big images.
3) It is because of this issue I'm waiting to give it 5-star. Please consider correcting this issue.

Once again, this addon is great!

Works great except with Facebook and Google Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works great for a lot of thing except google images and youtube thumbnail previews on google searches. Now facebook video previews are also bypassing the blocking.

Does what it tells Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a pretty good add-on, it completely disables any type of images of the websites. I find out pretty useful, since there are plenty of websites that I do not want to see their content or not being clustered with images by other people that I don't care by much. With this, I'm also avoiding to save images that I like simply by not seeing them, since this add-on disables any type of images.

I just wish there were more options for it. An exception list for websites would become very handy.

Works perfectly Rated 5 out of 5 stars

re person (below) who stated "right now in Firefox you cannot unblock images without resetting Firefox totally" the only thing that is "totally" is the word untrue regarding his statement. You need only "refresh" the browser (usually the F5 key) to toggle on/off. And this is so not just with this but with all the image blockers. Is no big deal, takes 2 secs.

allow excepitons Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Please allow exceptions on specific sites, say news.google.com or search result page of reddit.com.
I'm on edge network and it helps me a lot. But why are you so fuckin adamant to ALWAYS 'keep it simple'? Its not 'simple' to operate at all. I've to constantally toggle it on n off.

For gods sake, allow exceptions please.

「Security」対策用途とは異なり、「快適化」が主眼のアイテムのようだ Rated 4 out of 5 stars
